Jennifer Lopez: On The Record premiered tonight on fuse.tv! The interview was fun and intimate at time times. Read on for the details and extended video footage.Topics discussed include –  the development of the album ‘LOVE?‘ through Lopez’s own self-reflection on what the topic of “love” really meant to her after having her ‘coconuts’, as she affectionately calls twins Max & Emme. How, Jennifer’s favorite rapper right now, Lil Wayne and she hooked up for the track ‘I’m Into You’. Insight on, former Def Jam CEO and Chairman, L.A. Reid’s vision for ‘LOVE?‘ as well as, album’s co-producer, RedOne’s hand in creating the chart-topper ‘On The Floor’. Her decision to join the ‘American Idol’ judges panel and to be no-one but herself.

Jennifer shares how she realized ‘showbiz’ was what was truly in store for her and the drive and focus it took to get to get there. Quite interestingly, she’s totally candid in pointing out how different the meaning of being a ‘celebrity’ is TODAY, in comparison to what it was when she was just a little girl with pure dreams of singing, dancing, and acting.

The interview moves into the territory of the many facets of Lopez’s career and what it meant to snag the key acting roles in Selena, and Out Of Sight, two movies that made her a house-hold name. For that very fact, she goes on to credit those directly involved with the films, Director Gregory Nava in Selena, director Steven Soderbergh in Out Of Sight, and undoubtedly, super co-star George Clooney. And, pointedly, deems her role, alongside husband Marc Anthony, in the 2007 film El Cantante as her GREATEST performance to date. I’ll just go ahead and insert MY personal opinion here too, [I AGREE JEN!]. We are then brought back to the music piece in Jennifer’s career where she firmly gives it up to the role Marc, her “favorite singer”, has played in her vocal development through the years.
