Jennifer Lopez and her American Idol costars, Ryan Seacrest, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson appeared at Fox’s 2012 Winter Television Critics Association event last night!

On what to expect this season: “It hasn’t changed, we’re all the same people. We’re a little bit more comfortable, we’re still having fun. We have amazing talent, which makes it more exciting.”
On balancing her career and motherhood: “It’s a juggling act like any, you know, single mom. They come first.”
When asked “what” she was wearing: “What am I wearing? Orange”. Ryan teased the reporter, saying, “The question is who, who are you wearing.”
Possibility of appearing on In Living Color: “Oh my God, I didn’t even know [it was coming back!]! That’s awesome! I haven’t heard from [Keenen], but if he called me and wanted me to do something, that would be awesome. I owe Keenan a lot. From the beginning of my career, he always believed in me, he always was constantly putting in my brain, ‘You’re gonna be a star, you’re gonna be a star, do you know that?’ And he was a mentor to me so I wish him the best with that”
On their judging style: “We try to give them advice as we would want it to be given to us, that’s how I always deliver what I’m saying. I want them to hear me, but there’ nothing’s wrong with a little tough love and a little encouragement either. And we have our own style and personalities of how we do that, but at the end of the day, we’re trying to get them through to be the winner.”
On showcasing her personality: “That’s the thing about reality television, you can’t hide. You are who you are and that comes across.”
