JLo Honored As Ally for Equality!

Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Ally for Equality Award at the HRC National Dinner in Washington, DC last night! This is a tremendous honor! The Ally for Equality Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of those who dedicate time, energy, spirit and whole-hearted commitment to better the lives of LGBT people.

President Barack Obama addressed the room via satellite, and Jennifer delivered an acceptance speech. The cast of The Fosters, which is exec-produced by Jennifer, was also in attendance to support her! Hopefully a video of her speech will pop up soon! Here’s a video of her speech:

Per TheWrap, Jennifer Lopez has joined the cast of Dreamwork’s upcoming animated film, “Home”! “Home” is an animated alien-invasion buddy comedy based on Adam Rex’s children’s book “The True Meaning of Smekday”.

Steve Martin will voice Captain Smek, the leader of an overly optimistic alien race who take over Earth and begin to relocate the human race — convinced they’re doing them a big favor. Rihanna will voice a resourceful girl who avoids capture and becomes the accomplice of a banished alien. Jennifer will voice her mother.

Jennifer is no stranger to animated films, with roles in “Antz” and “Ice Age 4”. “Home” hits theaters on November 26, 2014!
