JLo Covers Billboard!

Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of the upcoming issue of Billboard!! Jennifer looks drop dead gorgeous in this new photo shoot. Here’s an excerpt from Billboard.com:

Her sitting style on this week’s cover of Billboard aside, Jennifer Lopez is no slouch. The 44-year-old multi-hyphenate is increasingly serious about the business of her brand, as she releases her eighth album (“A.K.A.”), tours and grabs the big booty ($52 million in just one year!) as she empire builds in the mode of a muy modern-day Martha Stuart.

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES IN HER PERSONAL LIFE. It’s an interesting time for Lopez, back in the public eye for her professional life and her personal life. She broke up with boyfriend Casper Smart (which sources say occurred in April, two months before reports surfaced in June). Then came a report (which she has denied) that she’s seeing Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the “Dancing With the Stars” pro she worked with at the American Music Awards last November. “Things have changed so much for me,” she says.

SHE IS DIVERSIFIED. Lopez’s current portfolio: She’s a businesswoman (her fragrance line has raked in nearly $2 billion since 2002), entrepreneur (her Latino-geared line of wireless stores has 16 locations), fashion designer (her Kohl’s clothing line), producer (ABC Family’s “The Fosters”), cable programmer (she’s the CCO of Nuvo TV), author (her first memoir arrives in October), and mom (Max and Emme, her 6-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony).

HER TOUR WITH ENRIQUE BOOSTED HER CONFIDENCE. “After I got home, I realized I was a stronger vocalist than maybe even I gave myself credit for,” she says of the 2012 co-headlining tour, which grossed $21.1 million in ticket receipts. “It made me want to get back into the studio without that cage I had put on myself. Once I let that beast loose, I was doing things I didn’t know I could do.”

IT’S NOT AS BIG AS YOU THINK IT IS. Not that. We’re talking about her entourage, which was comparable to Iglesias’ on their tour, save for the twins and a few road nannies. “She’s created this empire, and you can tell that she still cares a lot about what she does, yet still manages to be a sweetheart through all of it,” Iglesias says.

EXPECT A LOT OF J.LO IN 2015. Next year Lopez will return to the film world with a trio of projects (“The Boy Next Door,” “Home” with Rihanna, and “Lila and Eve,” an indie drama). Tentative projects include a concert documentary and yes, more music. “I’d like for her to start working on some Christmas songs for an album in ’15,” says her manager Benny Medina.

The full story will be posted on Monday morning, so check Billboard.com then!

After the shoot, Jennifer jumped on a plane to make her way to Brazil for the Opening Ceremony of the World Cup, where she will perform We Are One with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte. In an interview, Jennifer told the AP, “We always were going. I think people get anxious, especially with me and my schedule when I’m like, ‘Ah, OK, I can leave this day, that day, I don’t know if we can make it. […] People get nervous and I think it was a little bit premature to announce anything, but we are definitely going.”

Also thanks to LopezLove, here are pics of Jennifer out and about in NY on June 6:

JLo Performs Live in The Bronx!!

Jennifer Lopez took it home to the Bronx last night for a special “Coming Home” concert performance as part of State Farm’s Neighborhood Sessions! Jennifer put on a free 90 minute show for a crowd of 25,000 fans in her home town.

Jennifer couldn’t come alone, of course, so she brought along special guests Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and French Montana to join her on stage for their collaborations. Jennifer performed many of her biggest hits, as well as songs from A.K.A., including the often mentioned Big Booty! Here’s her performance of First Love:

Jennifer also performed her new song with Fat Joe. We know it was produced by Danja and it’s for Fat Joe’s upcoming project, but we don’t know what it’s called yet. Jennifer discussed the song several times, including in this interview.

Jennifer also slowed things down and sang Selena’s No Me Queda Mas, Barbra Streisand’s My Man, and Diana Ross’ Theme From Mahogany. Long-time JLovers will remember that Theme From Mahogany was a bonus track on some versions of On The 6!

Jennifer had quite a few outfit changes, including one reminiscent of her famous Versace dress. Here are photos:

Jennifer Visits Montefiore, Announces Donation

Jennifer Lopez surprised Bronx residents on Sunday when she stopped by the Healthy Childhood initiative launch, sponsored by the Montefiore Health System in partnership with the Lopez Family Foundation, at the Montefiore Medical Center.

During the surprise visit, the Lopez Family Foundation announced a $250,000 donation to Montefiore. The fair, a concept brought to Montefiore by Jennifer and Lynda, was held on Montefiore’s Moses Campus.

Jennifer, Lynda and many of their friends and family attended the Community Health Fair to participate in activities, including a Zumba class featuring participants in B’N Fit, a program affiliated with the Center for a Healthy Childhood that helps teenagers maintain or lose weight. They also assisted in a healthy cooking demonstration, making smoothies for those at the fair.

“We can do so much to make the Bronx, our hometown, a healthier place. We can exercise together and we can eat well together. The Center for a Healthy Childhood will help make our vision a reality on every block,” said Jennifer Lopez. “It feels good to come home and talk to moms and kids about making healthy lifestyle decisions – they can make changes now that will set them on a path for a long, happy life.”

The Center builds upon Montefiore’s comprehensive community health programs and the long-standing commitment of Jennifer and Lynda to improving the health and well-being of women and children.

“We love having the opportunity to offer resources that mothers, children and families in the Bronx need for better access to healthcare, health information and health education,” said Lynda Lopez. “The Lopez Family Foundation is passionate about the health and well-being of mothers and children, and we’re excited the Center for a Healthy Childhood will go deep into the community to provide needed support – whether it’s to educate about childhood nutrition, physical activity, emotional and intellectual engagement on health, or healthy pregnancies and motherhood.”

The Center will serve Montefiore patients and their families, as well as the tens of thousands of children and families in the Bronx and beyond reached through partnerships with the New York City Department of Education, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other health and social service providers.

Here’s an interview with Good Morning America:

Good Morning America will have a behind the scenes look at her Bronx concert this Wednesday and they will air an interview with her on Thursday! Plus, don’t forget that she will perform on GMA on June 20!
