Last night, a new episode of American Idol aired and unfortunately, Karen was sent home. The judges chose not to save her, and Jennifer looked pretty upset about it. Randy indicated that the decision was not unanimous, and judging from Jennifer’s face, she was the holdout. (more…)
A new episode of American Idol aired last night! The top 12 performers each performed a song from their birth year, and of course, some did really well and others had a more difficult time.
We’re all watching for Jennifer, though, and she seems to be getting more comfortable in the judges seat! She critiqued the performers and gave them all useful advice that we generally agreed with. Go Jen! Recap after the jump! (more…)
An all new episode of American Idol airs tonight, so don’t forget to tune in! There are a couple of noteworthy Idol tidbits in the news that I wanted to mention.
First, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of American Adults have a favorable opinion of singer-actress Jennifer Lopez, making her the most popular of the three judges. That’s awesome! Go Jennifer!
Second, Idol’s exec producer, Nigel Lythgoe, confirmed that Jennifer will perform on the show at some point this season. We assumed that would be the case, but it’s nice to get a confirmation! We definitely can’t wait to see that!

A new episode of American Idol aired last night! Unfortunately, Ashthon Jones was sent packing and it was left up to a visibly upset Jennifer Lopez to tell her that they wouldn’t be saving her from elimination.
Prior to that, however, there was a funny moment where Jennifer discussed the dougie (a dance) and then sampled it for everyone, promising Adam Lambert, who had just performed, that she would show him how to do it after the show.

The top 13 contestants took the American Idol stage last night to perform for America. There were some ups and downs, but many of the contestants did really well. Jennifer got a lot of positive attention from other celebs on Twitter regarding her look:
