Jennifer Lopez performed at the Global Citizen Live concert in NYC this past weekend! The concert took place across seven cities and six continents as part of Global Citizen and Global Citizen’s Recovery Plan for the World, a campaign to end COVID-19. She performed some of her classics with some very special guests, Ja Rule and LL Cool J and also premiered a new song from her upcoming movie, MARRY ME!

Jennifer Lopez performed “This Land Is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful” at the 59th inaugural ceremony for President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris earlier today! It was a beautiful performance that also included a few words in Spanish: “Una nación, bajo dios, indivisible, con libertad y justicia para todos” which translates to “one nation under God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all.” As a Latina, it was amazing to see her perform on stage at such a historic event. I’ve been a fan for over 20 years and I am still in awe of everything she continues to accomplish.
The music video for “In The Morning” is here! In a concept developed by Jennifer, the gorgeous music video is an abstract visualization of the struggle we face in our everyday lives. In love, in heartache, in chaos and in tragedy. It opens with her gracefully sinking to the bottom of the ocean. She is then awakened by a small glimmer of hope, represented by a butterfly, and she begins to gain her strength. At that moment, she begins a metamorphosis, transforming into a mermaid rising to the surface. Surrounded by butterflies, she realizes there’s more growth and evolution to be had. Little by little she starts to grow her own wings transitioning to an angel and then her final form, a dove, free to fly.
Jennifer had this to say about the video on Instagram: “And I loved you even more than I loved me …🧚🏽♂️ I am soooo excited for you to see the official video for #InTheMorning ☀️☀️ It’s full of symbolism about a dark one-sided relationship and the realization that you can’t change anyone else … you can only change yourself!!! Grow your own wings and walk away from anyone or anything that doesn’t truly value all you have to offer. 💚💙🧡”

The song appears on Stevie’s Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time. The video was directed by Santiago Salviche and filmed at The Grove in Los Angeles, CA.
