“The Boy Next Door” #1 New Release at the Box Office!

The Boy Next Door is the #1 new release at the box office this week! It came in at #2, behind American Sniper, with $15 million (nearly four times its $4 million budget). This is Jennifer’s highest live-action opening since Monster-In-Law debuted in 2005! The success is extra-sweet, because Jennifer also produced the film. Congratulations, Jennifer!!!

During media rounds, Jennifer expressed how liberating it was to make a movie this way, so hopefully we’ll see her on the big screen again sooner, rather than later. Next up, she has Lila & Eve premiering at the Sundance Film Festival next week. You can buy tickets here.

In addition, the exclusive presentation will run in a 24-hour round-the-clock marathon on HBO Zone starting at 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continuing through New Year’s Day.

The docu-concert goes behind the scenes of Lopez’s first world tour, which visits 65 cities and five continents, traveling 100,000 miles and reaching one million fans, producing 11,250 minutes of music, and requiring 500,000 sequins and 162 wardrobe changes. DANCE AGAIN combines riveting musical performances with a raw and candid look at Lopez’s personal and professional life over a defining six-month period, when she challenges herself to go on her first world tour with her two young children in tow.

“I wanted to tell a story, to open myself up to people,” says Lopez. “The experience was more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined. This documentary brings back so many incredible memories and I am so excited to relive the tour, and once again, share these experiences with my fans.”

The special includes intimate documentary footage and interviews with Lopez and her closest friends, who accompanied her on the road, as well as spectacular in-concert renditions of many of her biggest hits, including “Get Right,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “I’m Into You,” “Goin’ In,” “Let’s Get Loud,” “On the Floor,” “I’m Real,” “Do It Well,” “All I Have” and “Dance Again.” Lopez, who is considered one of the most famous Latina entertainers in the world, begins the tour in South America and ends in Puerto Rico, where she held her first concert 11 years earlier.

JENNIFER LOPEZ: DANCE AGAIN is executive produced by Nuyorican Productions’ Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Priscilla Porianda and Tiana Rios, and The Weinstein Company’s Bob and Harvey Weinstein.

Booty #1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart

Jennifer did it again! With club banger Booty, and a little help from Iggy Azalea and Pitbull, she scores her 16th #1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart this week!

This also makes her move up a spot on the list of artists with the most #1 on the dance chart, she shakes her way up to #7 now (a tie with Kristine W). Ladies to beat now for the #5 spot are Mariah Carey and Donna Summer with both 17 #1’s on the chart. But as we all know JLo loves to dance, love and dance again so we’re pretty sure this won’t be her last time topping the chart.

Congrats to Jenn!
