JLo Kicks Off “It’s My Party” Tour!

Jennifer Lopez kicked off the “It’s My Party” tour with two sold out shows at The Forum outside Los Angeles, CA on Friday and Saturday! The tour is already getting rave reviews:

JLo Honored With CFDA Fashion Icon Award!

Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards at the Brooklyn Museum in New York yesterday! The CFDA Board of Directors chose to honor Jennifer with the award because of her longstanding and global impact on fashion.

She attended the event in custom Ralph Lauren. In her acceptance speech she said she chose him because, “I grew up in the Bronx—some of you may have heard—so of course I had to wear Ralph Lauren tonight, also from the Bronx”

Tom Ford presented Jennifer with the award at the ceremony. You can watch her emotional speech here:

Jennifer spoke with Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and Access Hollywood. One half of her styling duo, Rob Zangardi, spoke with WWD about her iconic style over the years.

‘On The 6’ Turns 20!

JLo’s ‘On The 6’ was released 20 years ago today! 20 years ago, I saw the “If You Had My Love” music video and INSTANTLY became a JLover! Jennifer has inspired me every single day since. Watching her pursue her goals, fight for her worth, strive to always be the best, and get back up when she’s been knocked down has helped me do the same in my own life. I can’t overstate what an impact she’s had on my life all these years and I’m so proud to call myself a JLover forever!

Billboard interviewed Jennifer and key collaborators Tommy Mottola, Rodney Jerkins, Benny Medina and Cory Rooney about the album and that period of time. Here’s a short excerpt:

When former Fly Girl Jennifer Lopez decided she wanted to pursue a proper music career, she was just coming off her starring role as Selena Quintanilla-PĂ©rez in the 1997 musical biopic Selena. But she faced plenty of skeptics — even after landing a record deal with Sony. “She wasn’t hearing it, though,” says longtime manager Benny Medina. “It would be like, wait a minute, don’t you understand? This is a girl that popped off In Living Color to become Selena — why would you ever second guess she couldn’t step out there and be J.Lo?”

GUESS has announced an official multifaceted partnership with Jennifer Lopez’s “It’s My Party” Concert tour starting June 7th at the tour kick off in Los Angeles, California at The Forum and continuing through August 2019.

GUESS will be launching an exclusive collection of concert merchandise as the official “It’s My Party” Tour merchandise partner. Select pieces from the capsule collection will be available at GUESS stores and at guess.com and will feature various concert t-shirts, as well the classic GUESS denim jacket that Jennifer modeled above. The full assortment of merchandise will be available for sale at the “Official Tour Merchandise” pop-ups within the concert venues.

The global brand will promote the concert tour and limited-edition merchandise with messaging in storefront windows, in-store signage, email marketing, and a sweepstakes that allows any GUESS customer to be eligible to win concert tickets to the hottest tour of the summer and autographed tour merchandise signed by Jennifer.

Jennifer will conduct her after-show meet and greets wearing looks from GUESS and Marciano and her back-up dancers will wear custom designed GUESS pieces.
