JLo Wins At MTV Movie & TV Awards

Jennifer Lopez took home the awards for “Best Song” and “Generation Award” at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday! The Generation Award honors actors whose diverse contributions have made them household names and the Best Song award was for “On My Way” from MARRY ME.

I loved her speeches, especially when she won the Generation Award. Here’s a short excerpt of the speech, which you can watch in full above:

“I want to thank the people who gave me joy, and the ones who broke my heart. The ones who were true, and the ones who lied to me. I want to thank true love, and I want to thank the way that I lied to myself, because that’s how I knew that I had to grow. I want to thank disappointment and failure for teaching me to be strong. And my children for teaching me to love. I want to thank all the people who told me, to my face —or when I wasn’t in the room—that I couldn’t do this. I really don’t think I could’ve done it without you.”

Jennifer posted a short behind the scenes on her Instagram.

JLo’s “Marry Me” Trailer + “On My Way” Premiere

The official movie trailer for Jennifer Lopez’s next movie, MARRY ME, is finally here!

Kat Valdez (Jennifer) is half of the sexiest celebrity power couple on Earth with hot new music supernova Bastian (Maluma, making his feature-film debut). As Kat and Bastian’s inescapable hit single, “Marry Me,” climbs the charts, they are about to be wed before an audience of their fans in a ceremony that will be streamed across multiple platforms.

Divorced high-school math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) has been dragged to the concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman, Big Little Lies) and his best friend (Sarah Silverman). When Kat learns, seconds before the ceremony, that Bastian has cheated on her with her assistant, her life turns left as she has a meltdown on stage, questioning love, truth and loyalty. As her gossamer world falls away, she locks eyes with a stranger—a face in the crowd.

If what you know lets you down, then perhaps what you don’t know is the answer, and so, in a moment of inspired insanity, Kat chooses to marry Charlie. What begins as an impulsive reaction evolves into an unexpected romance. But as forces conspire to separate them, the universal question arises: Can two people from such different worlds bridge the gulf between them and build a place where they both belong?

One of the songs from the movie, On My Way, also premiered today! You can stream on all platforms or listen below:
