Early American Idol Buzz & A New Holiday Promo

Fox released a 23 minute preview of American Idol to select members of the press, and the feedback is looking great so far!

TVGuide reports that Jennifer and her new costar, Steven Tyler, “show promise” and are “reasons to watch” the show. TVGuide also added that both “are brutally honest with those not advancing to Hollywood Week without being brutal”.

Zap2It reports that Jennifer and Steven bring a “fresh and fun energy” to the table. Naturally, Jennifer sports a new look at each audition and looks “stunning, even as she sheds a tear or two”.

It’s exciting that they’re getting such good feedback so far!

In other American Idol news, Fox released a new holiday ad. There are a couple of brief shots of Jennifer, including a new look we haven’t seen before!

American Idol premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 8/7c.

Behind The Scenes: JLo’s L’Oreal EverSleek Campaign

L’oreal Paris premiered a new behind the scenes video featuring Jennifer Lopez on the set of her EverSleek ad campaign. The TV shoot took place on November 13 and 14 in New York City and features Jennifer posing and reciting her lines.

Cyril Chapuy, L’Oreal Paris’ global brand president, told WWD that the inspiration behind the TV shoot was Jennifer herself:

“The script was written from Day One with Jennifer in mind. It was never just another commercial, it was designed for Jennifer’s personality. She is the one speaking directly to the camera, there is no voice-over and she speaks in her own words.”

The TV spots will officially debut on January 16 during the Golden Globes telecast.

Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony at Brightstar’s Marcelo Claure’s Birthday Party

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony gave a surprise performance at Brightstar CEO Marcelo Claure’s 40th birthday party this past Saturday. Marc sang a couple of his solo hits and invited Jennifer on stage to sing their 1999 latin hit single No Me Ames. Other performers at the party included The Gipsy Kings and Soul Messiah founder DJ Frank Delour. Below are a few pictures of the event and a short video filmed with a cellphone.

JLo To Appear on Divas Latinas?

Gloria Estefan’s official YouTube channel uploaded a promotional video for a new television show called “Divas Latinas”. In partnership with Esteban Enterprises, the show features 10 of the biggest and brightest female stars in the Latin entertainment industry. Jennifer Lopez is featured in the video along with other famous Latinas such as Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Shakira, and Nelly Furtado.

The show was originally set to air on Univision in the Fall . We’re not sure if it’s still happening, but thought it was worth noting! We’ll keep you posted if and when we hear more! In the meantime, you can watch the video here:

Last night, during the Barbara Walters Most Fascinating People interview, the cover for JLo’s upcoming album, which is due in 2011, was revealed!
