JLo and Marc Support Puerto Rico

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony flew to Puerto Rico today to support the Governer of Puerto Rico as he signed a bill to provide incentives for the film-making industry. Jennifer and Marc hope to develop Puerto Rico’s first film studio. The project has long been rumored, but never confirmed. Jennifer and Marc want to build a state-of-the-art soundstage to attract A-list projects to the area. The studio will reportedly be built in Fajardo.

American Idol’s Top 13

American Idol's First Live Show of 2011!

The first live show of the season aired last night! The contestants were narrowed down into a group of 13. Americans chose the Top 10 and then judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, and Steven Tyler picked 3 additional “wild cards”.

Jennifer’s ‘On The Floor’ video was also broadcast towards the end of the show last night. If you missed the video, you can watch it here. Here’s a recap of last night’s show:

Jennifer discussed On The Floor, working with RedOne, why she decided to let the fans choose the video’s ending, etc. Jennifer also said she knows a March release date was being reported for Love?, but she’s not sure. She says they are planning another single before the album is released. She also mentions that she has been talking to Lil Wayne about doing a song together, and that might be the next single.

On The Floor’s Chart Debut!

Jennifer Lopez’s ‘On The Floor’ has stormed onto the Billboard Hot 100 debuting at #9! This is Jennifer’s highest charting debut and her ninth top 10 hit as a lead artist! If the song hits #1, Jennifer will be one of eight artists to top the Hot 100 in three separate decades (’90s, ’00s, ’10s).

‘On The Floor’ also debuted at #3 on the digital songs chart with 170,000 copies sold.

‘On The Floor’ was also added to the #1 pop radio station in the US, New York’s Z100. OTF was the 6th most requested song of the day yesterday and the #1 most requested song on Los Angeles’ KIIS (the #2 pop station in the US). Keep buying and requesting ‘On The Floor’, JLovers! Let’s keep this momentum going!
