Jennifer Lopez and her mother, Guadalupe, attended the 2011 BAFTA Brits To Watch Event at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles last night! Jennifer looked stunning in a cut-out Emilio Pucci gown. At the event, Jennifer and Lupe mingled with Prince William and his wife, Catherine, as well as with other celebs like Nicole Kidman, Rita Wilson, and American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe.
Per E! Online, Jennifer was invited to the event by Peter Rice, the head of FOX. Per their report, Jennifer has signed on to work on another season of American Idol! The report has not been confirmed, but they claim that an announcement is due “any day now”. We’ll keep you guys posted!
iHeartRadio, the popular application that allows you to listen to your favorite radio stations on the go, has been promoting a huge announcement for the last couple of days and we just learned that Jennifer Lopez has something to do with it! She will be on the Today Show this Monday to elaborate on their big announcement.
Rumors are swirling about the announcement, and there’s speculation that it could be a concert event with some of the biggest names in the music industry. We’ll keep you guys posted!
For the 5th week in a row, the Spanish version of On The Floor, Ven A Bailar, is #1 on the Latin Pop Songs chart! Ven A Bailar also remains at #3 on the Latin Songs chart!
On The Floor continues its slow descent this week, moving down on the Billboard Hot 100 to #19. Over on the Digital Songs chart, On The Floor drops to #22. As of last week, On The Floor is #6 on the mid-year Top Digital Songs chart with 2,669,000 copies sold! It’s still going, so it might pass up a couple of songs above her. Jennifer’s 2nd single, I’m Into You, continues to increase on the Pop airplay chart, moving up 5 spots to #31! I’m Into You also jumps from #88 to #84 on the Hot 100 chart and from #3 to #2 on the Dance/Club chart. Please support Jennifer and request I’m Into You on your local radio stations! According to Variety, Jennifer Lopez is set to star alongside Jason Statham in a new film called “Parker”. The film is based on the book series by Donald Westlake and revolves around a thief who, though at times is forced to be a killer, still lives by a code of honor that includes never stealing money from people who need it. His word is his bond, and if he is crossed he will strike back relentlessly.
Jennifer will reportedly play Leslie, an ex-cheerleader turned real estate agent who teams up with a Statham’s character, Parker, to pull off a daring heist. Taylor Hackford is set to direct. The script was written by John J. McLaughlin, who most recently co-wrote the script for “Black Swan.” Clifton Collins Jr. and Wendell Pierce have also signed onto the film.
We’ve done some digging and it looks like the film is based on the book “Flashfire.” “Parker” will be filmed this Summer in New Orleans, and it is Jennifer’s 3rd film for 2012. Jennifer is also starring in the animated film “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and “What To Expect When You’re Expecting.”
Per Deadline, Jennifer is also working on a film called “Kiss and Tango”. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available!
