The American Music Award nominees were announced earlier today, and Jennifer Lopez has been nominated in the “Favorite Latin Artist” category! Jennifer is up against her recent collaborators, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.
The nominees were determined using various metrics to determine popularity. The winner is determined by fan voting, so make sure you vote for Jennifer here. Jennifer has several AMAs, so let’s help her add another one to her collection!

Fiat has debuted the first official Fiat 500 commercial featuring Jennifer Lopez! The ad will begin airing tonight on national broadcast and cable networks. The ad features Jennifer’s song, ‘Until It Beats No More,’ which, of course, is featured on her latest album, LOVE?.
Additional ads are set to premiere later this year.

The commercial, titled “My World,” is voiced-over by Lopez, who is seen driving a Fiat 500 Cabrio as she travels through the streets of Manhattan to the Bronx where she grew up. The new ad explores her personal take on how life in the New York City borough continues to inspire her to be tougher, to stay sharper and to think faster. “My World” features the song, “Until It Beats No More,” from Lopez’s new album, “Love?”(Island Def Jam) and will begin airing on national broadcast and cable networks on Monday, Oct. 10.
“The primary objective of ‘My World’ was to explore the story of Jennifer Lopez, who is a cultural icon. We watch as she leaves Manhattan and makes her way back to the Bronx, where she grew up and continues to be inspired by,” said Olivier Francois – Head of Fiat and Chief Marketing Officer and Brand Marketing Communications, Chrysler Group LLC. “The commercial tells the story of how the simple elements of our upbringing can help explain who we are, where we’re going and serve as a source of inspiration to achieve our goals in life. Jennifer Lopez will present her idol, Barbra Streisand, with the L’Oréal Paris Legend Award at Elle’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood event on October 17!
Jennifer has always spoken highly of Barbra. In the September 2009 issue of InStyle, Jennifer said, “Barbra Streisand is my absolute idol…I love what she does. She’s a singer, an actress, she went into directing—she does it all.” So, it must be a real treat for Jennifer to present her with an award!
The American Idol crew made their way to Pittsburgh on Wednesday and Thursday to continue the audition rounds! As we teased last week on the forum, we had an amazing opportunity for a few JLove?rs in the area. After a crazy couple of days with BBers scrambling to get their schedules in order, take days off, etc. we had a final group of three. Unfortunately, quite a few others couldn’t make it, but all BBers were there with us in spirit! All the details and photos are after the jump!
