Month: June 2013
LA JLovers! Jennifer Lopez’s Walk of Fame ceremony will take place THIS Thursday, and fans are welcome to attend! Jennifer’s star is being prepped ahead of the ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, June 20 at 11 AM on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. Jennifer will of course, appear live, and she wants to see all her LA fans there, so make it a point to attend! This is a huge honor and a permanent record of Jennifer’s status as a music icon!
Here’s a copy of the invite:
Per THR, Jennifer’s role in the upcoming film, “The 33” has been confirmed! “The 33” is based on the true story of the 33 Chilean miners who were rescued after being trapped underground for 69 days in 2010. The film will also star Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen, and Rodrigo Santoro (all of whom Jennifer has worked with before!). No word yet on who Jennifer will be playing.
“The 33″ will be directed by Patricia Riggen (La Misma Luna) from a screenplay by Mikko Alanne and José Rivera. Production is scheduled to begin in the fall in Chile. Jennifer recently spoke about the film while on the radio, but did not reveal her co-stars or the title of the movie, though we speculated correctly. This is not to be confused with the role Jennifer got while on the radio. That is for a separate film, and hopefully details will be revealed soon!
Jennifer Lopez visited her new Viva Movil store in Brooklyn today to film a new commercial! Jennifer looked amazing from head to toe, so kudos to Jennifer’s Glambots!

Jennifer Lopez was honored for her humanitarian efforts at the amFAR Gala in NYC tonight! Jennifer looked amazing in a blue Tom Ford gown. Her date for the event was Kenneth Cole, who is on the Board of Directors.
Josh Wood, who produced the amFAR event told FashionWeekDaily:
Jennifer does a huge amount of humanitarian work, which I think gets overshadowed by how famous she is. I’ve been friendly with her publicist Mark Young as well as [her manager] Benny Medina and pitched the idea of trying to do something to honor her for amfAR for quite a while. But the dates never worked out. We wanted to honor her for being such an icon. This is called the Inspiration Gala: it’s all about people who inspire us! Not only has she contributed to amfAR’s mission, but she has her own foundation and she’s worked with UNICEF and she’s traveled all over the world helping charities. She’s a fashion icon, too.
Jennifer accepted the Humanitarian Award and became a bit emotional on stage. If a video pops up, we’ll be sure to post it! In the meantime, check out the pics, thanks to Adriana!
