JLo & NBC Team Up For World of Dance

The JLo Empire continues to expand! Jennifer’s newest project is World of Dance, a new show she is executive-producing through her Nuyorican Productions. World of Dance, which will air on NBC, is a 10-episode dance-competition series open to all genres, ages and group sizes that features a $1 million prize.

Competitors will be chosen from qualifying events and online submissions and will be divided into three divisions: Junior (any size act that features dancers under 16 years old); Upper (groups of one to four dancers over 16 years old); and Team (groups of 5 or more dancers over 16 years old). Those interested in competing can register at World of Dancing (worldofdancecasting.com).

Jennifer had this to say in a statement: “This will be a fierce, talent-heavy, dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents. I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realized.”

The creative team working on the series includes choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, known as Nappytabs, who choreographed Jennifer’s Las Vegas show, All I Have. Per Variety, it is undetermined if she will appear on camera.
