Girls’ Generation announces their sub-unit, “Taetiseo”



It looks like the rumors surrounding Girls’ Generation and their proposed sub-unit are true! The 9-member group has just announced that three of its members, Seohyun, Tiffany, and Taeyeon, will be joining forces to create a new sub-group called “Taetiseo“, and their first mini-album has been entitled “Twinkle”.

Judging by the released concept picture, it looks like the three members will be showing off something completely unexpected! The vibrant colors are the focus of their new concept, and the mini-album will feature songs that highlight the three girls’ powerful voices and deep emotional range. The group name, Taetiseo, is presumably a reference to the names of the three group members – Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.

“Twinkle”, along with the music video, will be released on May 2nd. Keep up with what is sure to be an amazing sub-unit debut, right here on allkpop!

GIRLS’ GENERATION – TTS MINI ALBUM ‘TWINKLE’ will be Released Worldwide Through iTunes on April 29th at 00:00!

The mini album ‘TWINKLE’ of ‘GIRLS’ GENERATION – TTS’ will be released worldwide on April 29th.

Prior to the offline release of the mini album, ‘GIRLS’ GENERATION – TTS’ will release all tacks of the album including the title song ‘Twinkle’ through iTunes on April 29th at 00:00 a.m. The online version of the album will provide a booklet with photos that can’t be found in the offline version.

Especially, the title song ‘Twinkle’ was composed by Brandon Fraley, Jamelle Fraley and Javier Solis, who belong to Jam Factory. The title song is funky soul medium-tempo dance music with an arrangement reminiscent of Stevie Wonder style music from the 70s and 80s in harmony with modern feel.

Also, the title song ‘Twinkle’ will be released through various music websites in Korea including ‘Melon,’ ‘Genie,’ ‘NAVER MUSIC,’ etc. on the 29th at 00:00 a.m. and all tracks will be released on the 30th at 00:00 a.m. Therefore, it is expected to receive an enthusiastic response from music fans who have been waiting for ‘GIRLS’ GENERATION – TTS’s new music.
