I hope her GH album will have 1 or 2 "album only" tracks to help with overall album sales, otherwise, people will just buy the new songs..

That's the interesting thing about a GH. One would think they would be phased out at this point.

The good thing is, I don't think album sales are as important as say, single sales, and video revenue (in this case).

Indeed! Look at Beyoncé (A recent example), her new album's sales were good but didn't make her relevant, that explains why she was trying hard to score a hit by releasing multiple singles in a short time.

I think hedr was refering on new singles, because gh album are contained by old singles which already payed off, so there are no much costs when puting out again song which earned alot before.
GH album costs only for 2-3 new songs on it and factory costs.
they easily pay off even if it doesnt sell dozens.

Jenniheart - yes nowadays it s u must have a hit single to stay relevant in music industry, becuase without smash you can sell first time back on the name and coming from a hit album. but next time it will be much harder to sell big without hit single..
if beyonce flop with her first single next time, her sales will be halfed again.
