I'm wondering how well this is going to do.

How much do you think this will sell? Will it go Gold or maybe even Platinum?

I really hope we get major promo this time. More performances with a new hits medley or even the 7 minutes she did not too long ago with "On The Floor" & her new single. And I hope to see some TV commercials (which I haven't seen since "Do It Well"), itunes/internet banners, tweets, maybe even a tour, etc.

If it is indeed a GH album no more than 60,000 on the first week.

^ You sound so certain on that!!!
Her music has huge followers since 1999, some may not be around today and some new have joined her since!
Saying that, people who love her old music will buy and those who love the new music will buy!!

You can't predict ANY number on sales...you are just...you!!! :S

Thanks, I think you're spot on.

@jlover4eva I don't think RuRu is being negative. What he's saying is that since it's a "GH" it's most likely not going to sell as much as let's say a studio album. You have to admit he's right, not that many "greatest hits" hit #1 on the Billboard 200, and not many have high first-week sale debuts (not even Britney or Madonna). They for the most part rely on promo and LONGEVITY which is most important.

But saying that...Britney has 2 greatest hits! Dunno how many Madonna has as I don't follow her!

People/fans old and new are EXPECTING a greatest hits from J.Lo as no album with all hits has really been made...but hey, I know as much as the next person, just gotta wait and see

Is this an Epic (Sony) project?

And is Jen still with Island Def Jam (Universal Music Group)?

If so, would Sony let LA Reid spend a lot of money on promoting a UMG artist?

@jlover4eva, Yea I see what you mean.

@everyone else on this page, There are still so many unanswered questions still. Is it a greatest hits, or is it a studio album, or even an EP? Is she signed with Sony now, will Sony be providing income/help for promo if she's now signed elsewhere, will "On The Floor" be on the Sony project, what will be on the album and when will we get the tracklisting, when will this be released, and so many others.

WTH are they waiting for? The fans want to know what is going on with the process, again we have another "Love?". There is no hype, we have no official statements, no press conferences, no nothing, just tweets from industry insiders. Image

I think you're spot on. People who think it's gonna sell more than Love? in the first week are way too optimistic, and perhaps need to take a trip back to earth. The new generation knows JLO from On The Floor. It's not like they care for her old hits. If they did, her old albums' sales would've increased just like aerosmith's did during idol's last season.

It's too early for all that, I think.

You can still find Rock fans buying Rock songs from 60's, 70's, etc... unlike the other fans of other music styles, R'n'B, Electro, even Pop music and Hip Hop, etc...Because these styles evolve so fast making the old songs of the same styles sound so dated and not strong enough to be resold, except for few cases like when someone dies, then you may find many people buying their songs-as a kind of nostalgia.

In addition, we believe her old songs will be reworked with some changes for the GH, and I'm sure the majority of people know/miss her old stuff, so it's a good sign that there will be a lot of people who gonna buy this album, but I'm not expecting huge sales, at end of the day, old is old especially now with the internet, even the new albums cannot make huge sales. Sad but true!

Oh, I guess that is true. Pop usually sounds so dated even after a year two. I never thought about that.

Erm...her Funhouse album sold like 5 million copies worldwide and the Funhouse Tour was ranked the 5th highest grossing tour of 2009. Yet still, her GH album still sold only about half of what Funhouse did. So saying a GH will sell more than an actual studio album, is quite unlikely. Maybe Jen's GH will sell more than Brave - that I hope.

Ok i agree with you, maybe pink is not the right example! But i think Jen can sell more then 500,000 of her GH which is half of what Love? did, maybe even more then Love?,with right promotion and great sells of "Dance Again"! Again, lets wait and see haha

You're going to hear JLover stans' dead bodies hitting the ground left and right when they peek that GH (if its a GH album) tracklisting with only two new songs on it lol

You can't blame the stans though, they're thirsty as hell and its Jennifer's fault.
