I watch again Jack with Jennifer! as she's good! now she has a mature beauty and there she has delicate allure
and Fleshdans, a good movie. it should be noted that our Jennifer dancing is much better then Jennifer Beals, the Lopez movement more feminine, and the figure with any not comparable, Lopez is the best.

Beals

^oh thanx i see now!

here is some info about the historic aspect of Theseus in case someone is interested to know before they go watch the movie

the movie has switched the facts a lot but of course it is a fiction movie and not a documentary ...for example Hyperion isnt a king in reality. he was a titan himself..plus this battle never existed

storyline :

Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king's hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion...until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes

Just saw "CARNAGE", the new Roman Polanski film. I loved it. It's definitely my favorite comedy of 2011. The acting is amazing. Christoph Waltz and Jodie Foster are particularly great. A must see! Image

I can't wait to see it ! that and Shame !!

Contagion was pretty good, not one of Soderbergh best but I really liked it, also when you come out of the theater you don't want to touch anything or anyone.
50/50: Loooved it Top 5 of the year for me, I didn't except to like it that much it was really funny and moving without being too melodramatic which wasn't easy to do with that subject (cancer) and all the actorS were great particularly Joseph Gordon Levitt,  Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick & Anjelica Huston. Highly recommended !

50/50. One of the best films of the year, hands down. I agree with Nadia, both JGL & Anjelica Huston were beyond phenomenal in this. It can be very hard to watch at some points, but I firmly believe everyone should experience this film. It's not all drama, the movie's got a whole bunch of humor, too. I really hope this film gets recognized at the Globes/Oscars next year.

I'm going to see THE DEBT next.

well i watched immortals last night and i have to say i am really disappointed by this film:

Image
1)they counted on the special effects to do all the work but the storyline was lame and there was no feeling of heroism..Theseus didnt get the glory he deserved while he was alive and i hated how people almost til the end thought he was just a farmer and so did he..omg didnt he know that he was the seed of Zeus and he was also officially the son of the king of Athens Egeus?they didnt make it clear why Zeus was always there to protect and guide him..because he is his son that's why!!!!!that's why Zeus knew that Theseus was the only man to do this fight against Hyperion..because he was semi god and he had a good heart and bravery...we didnt see the explanation of why he was chosen either.....he was the strongest, bravest and most royal and glorious hero after Hercules in mythology..where was all his royalty at????????? "he didnt even embrace his powers or his legacy or his noble origins..he didnt even acknowledge it...or it wasnt clear he did...

2)Hyperion almost beat a semi god??????

3)bad choice of actors and ...the gods where lame young kids looking like power rangers...nothing glorious about them either...Zeus was too young.....

bottom line:
nothing to rock your world, nothing to move you..nothing to make you feel proud of..no catharsis either....
it was nowhere near the 300...i was so upset..and my family that watched it with me had the exact same feeling...and we didnt expect any relevance with tha actual facts cuz we knew it is just a movie..we didnt like how this story was told and how the movie was made

Just saw THE DEBT. I loved it. It had a few minor plot holes and the casting was confusing at times, but the acting was truly incredible. Jessica Chastain was amazing in this. I could easily see her getting nominated for an Oscar. A must-see! Image

watched it last night, loved it too; Jessica Chastain is on Fire, she surely is the actress of the year like Fassbender is the actor or the year.

Last week I saw "My Week With Marilyn" and it was amazing!!! I had a smile on my face for almost the whole movie. Michelle Williams definitely captures Marilyn Monroe/Norma Jean to the core!!! Beautifully done. I was very impressed that this movie was directed by Simon Curtis, this was his first film he ever directed!

The whole thing seemed played out like an old Hollywood movie. It opened with Marilyn (Michelle Williams' really singing) performing "When Love Goes Wrong/Heatwave" medley in a hot sequined outfit, and the movie ending with her singing "That Old Black Magic".

Dame Judi Dench was just a pleasure seeing on screen in this movie. She was so lively and definitely a highlight of this movie. The guy who played Sir Laurence was incredible. The guy played Colin Clark was also amazing! He played such an endearing character, playing Marilyn's shoulder to cry on.

But every time Michelle Williams came on screen, it was pure magic. She oozes Marilyn from her pores! Even tho she doesn't look anywhere near as beautiful or curvaceous as the Marilyn did, she does a good job convincing you she is the real deal. She moves just like Marilyn, every step, every word she says. She captures her innocence, her doubts as an actress, there's no words to express. I was very moved by her performance. I hope she gets the Oscar for Best Actress! She deserves it!

I thought it was so clever that this movie wasn't exactly a biopic on Marilyn's life, but just captured a moment in her life, but you get so much information on how her downfall began! But at the same time, it doesn't come off as a depressing tragic story. It was beautiful!

Definitely recommend it!

I love Jessica. I wish she'd get nominated for Best Supporting Actress next year. She deserves it.

Just saw THE IDES OF MARCH. I liked it, I found it very compelling & intense. The only thing I had a problem with was Evan Rachel Wood's storyline, I thought it dragged down the entire film. But, Gosling is a really good actor, he's a pleasure to watch. Image
