Ok, im really in the mood for writing a musical play/screenplay or watever for Jennifer. I kno she would probably never do it, but just to think about her in something I would write just makes me excited lol. Well I'm havin a hard time. But all i have so far are these ideas:

Title: Unknown

Genre: Romance/Comedy/Musical

Setting: 1940s - Miami, Florida and New York City, New York

Plot: A 1940s Latina Jazz singer falls for a... (thats where I get stumped, i dunno who to make her fall in love with lol). I wanna make them fall in love, and then she would question her love for the guy because she has a career as a superstar jazz singer, so she gets the chance of a lifetime to go to Broadway in New York and she has to make the decision of focusing on the one she loves or focusing on her dreams on Broadway and the superstar life.

Characters: Jennifer Lopez .......... Lola "Lolita" Carmen
Will Smith ............... (I want the love interest to be black)

Of course, I am gonna need more twists in the plot and everything, but thats why i need help hehe. I really want Buffster to help me out, because i know he loves this 1940s jazz glam era thing, (so do I hehe) and that would help me out lots hehe.

she falls for her piano player who wants to stay where he is, but Lola wants to move up and beyond. THEN...she finds out she's pregnant!

Diddy of course!!! give him a French accent put him in a nice silk three piece and 'voilaaaa' you got your piano teacher whom Jennifer falls madly in love with...

i am 100% all for the Will Smioth love inetrest thing, plus he could definately do the 1940's jazz musical thing perfectly.

here's one idea: Piano player Thomas Peters (Will Smith) plays along with small-time Cuban nightclub jazz singer "Lolita" Carmen (Jennifer Lopez) in Miami, Florida. They become best friends as they play more and more with eachother, but Thomas realizes he starts falling in love with her charm and her charisma, but he is always hiding his feelings for her as he is afraid of rejection. Enter George Bloom (Kevin Kline). A Broadway director/producer. One night he enters the nightclub and it happens to be the night when Lolita performs. He seems to be blown away by her performance and asks the manager if he may see her backstage after the performance. They meet, George does his best at sweet-talking her, and starts asking her out on dates. Tom soon notices Lola's new love interest and starts getting jealous and starts noticing that this George isn't any good for her. Lolita is very bothered by his behavior but still doesn't know what is wrong with Tom. As everything goes on, George offers her trip of a lifetime... to go to New York City and become a singing sensation. Lola tells Tom the good news, but he is anything but happy. She feels sad and unhappy at Tom's reaction, thinking that she might be doing something wrong. Then he decides to tell her how he feels about her, but as soon as he is done explaining his feelings, she gets upset because of how long it took him to tell her and how too late he is. She is so upset and angry that she decides to go to New York, and leaves Tom behind. But she leaves with mixed feelings.

the idea still isn't done, i'm still thinkin of wat would happen in new york.

I think a better setting would be Chicago or New York...Miami isn't really a glam jazz 1940s setting.

well, wat i was thinkin about was havin her be a cuban jazz/rumba singer in miami, florida, kinda like how celia cruz. and then when she meets this George, she is introduced to mainstream jazz and swing music, and gets her to sing that kinda music and live that kinda glamorous life.

IMO the story you have here, sounds good. But imo it would be a better story for a movie and not for the theater
