It's not like they were her vocals to begin with? Jennifer only did the adlibs on the IYHML chorus.

Waittttt... this is true. :lmaoJ wrote:Jen didn't credit Debra Laws as a feature on All I Have either. :P
Or Michael Jackson on Gotta Be There.

On Sampled songs, the original artist is rarely credited. Unless the sample is reworked and the original artist is still featured. In this case it is not the case. And "her" vocals, if they are indeed her's or her chorus at the time anyways, were pitch changed and it's set up as a sample and not a feature. Makes total sense why she's not credited.JLOz1FaNaTiC wrote:But the thing if it is indeed her vocals why isn't she credited as a performer?
It should be "Teenage Fever" featuring Jennifer Lopez on the tracklist.
Why would he not credit her as a feature, but credit the others? I mean I get that it's a sample, but still.
She'd only be credited in the writer's section of the track if she actually co-wrote IYHML which I don't think she did.
Regardless, does it even matter? I mean everyone who hears it knows its a JLo track / news outlets online have reported about him sampling her etc.

They were just background singers. :"":
I was looking for the Teenage Fever lyrics, and I found them on genius.com, which I've never heard of before. Anyhow, they list Jennifer as one of the writers, and below they listed the sample of IYHML by Jennifer. I can't vouch for the reliabilty, but it's there.
I couldn't copy it directly, but here's the address:

Maybe she has the rights for the song, just like MJ had the rights of The Beatles songs.
I just saw now that this song was the 4th most successful out of this playlist on Itunes.

The first 2 lines from Sacrifices must have been for Jen, January 21st is when he left for Europe and he was with Jen the day or 2 days before that.
Wrote this shit, January 21
Baby girl, I had to run, I'll be back a couple months
OMG you're right. That makes it 4 songs on this album that Jen was either involved or referenced in. Boy got hurt. loldaisylo wrote:The first 2 lines from Sacrifices must have been for Jen, January 21st is when he left for Europe and he was with Jen the day or 2 days before that.Wrote this shit, January 21

5 if Jorja's Interlude indeed includes hidden references to Jennifer. Somebody make a post about this on ATRL or KanyeToThe Forum, lol.nixy1991 wrote:OMG you're right. yeah and an heartbroken Drake is the best kind of Drake for his music, I guess that she must have broke thing off on the phone, and some people say that she was using him for a hit song, if she was she would have waited for him to release their song before leaving him.
Agree dang it such a wrong move :coffeedaisylo wrote:yeah and an heartbroken Drake is the best kind of Drake for his music, I guess that she must have broke thing off on the phone, and some people say that she was using him for a hit song, if she was she would have waited for him to release their song before leaving him.

Well, he thinks so himself too if these lyrics from Jorja's Interlude are directed to J.Lo:nzJLOVER wrote:Agree dang it such a wrong move :coffeedaisylo wrote:yeah and an heartbroken Drake is the best kind of Drake for his music, I guess that she must have broke thing off on the phone, and some people say that she was using him for a hit song, if she was she would have waited for him to release their song before leaving him.
"Get It Together" beat starts playing and Drake says:
And more chune for your headtop
So watch how you speak on my name, you know?
Tadaa, Jen is removed from the track.
I don't think that's about her but who knows ? And it seem like they recorded that song before being romantically involved not after.

Drake's fans think it is. I'm not good at deciphering double meanings in rap songs lol.
Edit: Oh shoot, see video below @ 0:30. He uses it as shade for people who talk about him / telling them to watch their mouths. Could definitely be that he used it again as a warning / reference to Jen, especially with him having removed her vocals with the beat of that very same song already playing in the background.
