DiCaprio is one of the most talented, versatile actors working today. I have yet to see him deliver a bad performance, he deserves every bit of acclaim he gets. So, I hope this movie is good and he finally gets that statue.
^ yup couldn't have said it better the guy has done pretty much all kind of characters and nailed it everytimes.

so it's going to be rated R must be a first for a superhero movie

I love it. There is A LOT of superhero movies that would benefit from an R rating, especially the DC universe, as they contain more lurid violence (sexual content, too) than Marvel. Suicide Squad is one, but WB would NEVER take such a risk with a big budget movie like that. But there are ways to stay within PG-13, but still make superheros dark and violent, a great example is Chris Nolan's Batman Trilogy, some really nasty stuff goes down in those films, goes to show that implied violence can be just as disturbing as seeing it happen. As for the language, limiting PG-13 to one or two F-bombs is ridiculous anyway. 13-year-olds use far worse language than that. The UK has a much better ratings system than America.

The UK is still pretty strict tho I remember when Kill Bill came out I was in the UK it was +18 in other countries like France or Belgium that's only for porn but I guess the difference with the US is that the language and nudity is less of a problem for the ratings compared to the US.

from what I read Deadpool right before filming was going to be PG-13 Reynolds and the director managed to change the studio's mind, it will hurt the box office but with that character it wouldn't have worked as a PG-13 films

Fantastic Four is at 8% at Rotten Tomatoes. This is a bigger disaster than expected.

Everything about this Fantastic Four reboot is horrible. I'm embarrassed to say it, but the first is amazing compared to this trash.

The latest reboot of the Fantastic Four - the cinematic equivalent of malware - is worse than worthless. It not only scrapes the bottom of the barrel; it knocks out the floor and sucks audiences into a black hole of soul-crushing, coma-inducing dullness.

I'm surprised by the reviews Fantastic Four is getting. I mean, it's not a good movie, but it's not that awful either. Despite some poor CGI, the first and second acts are decent. They screw things up in the third act (it's really, really, really bad) but that doesn't erase the decent introduction of characters and universe setting.

Since this third act is rumored to be the result of the studio's interference in the film, I'm curious to know what was the director's original version. Although there are some problems in the rest of the film too. And it's hard to believe Fox would mess with it if they had a good movie in their hands. %)

Has any of you seen Trainwreck yet?

I've grown to like Amy Schumer a lot after watching her show, so I was really excited to see this film. The jokes are definitely funny, but the movie hits every rom-com beat we've come to expect (even though it tries to switch it up in the final act), which is really disappointing, especially knowing how unrestrained Amy is on her show. It started to feel very tired and formulaic halfway through.

This movie is 120 minutes long. That's TOO long, but the movie is directed by Judd Apatow, whose every film clocks in over 2 hours, so it's hardly a surprise. Someone needs to teach that man how to make his films shorter.

Tilda Swinton steals the show. She's BY FAR the most hilarious character in the film, think Meryl in Devil Wears Prada, only on cocaine. She's HILARIOUS. And Amy Schumer really does a great job. There is a scene in this movie that would put any veteran actress to shame, she's THAT good. Overall, I didn't hate it, I laughed plenty, but there's a lot about it that doesn't work, too.

I want to know if Daisy liked it. :D
