^ I can already tell this is going to be on my Worst of 2017 list.
Glad you liked it. One of my faves last year, I've seen it 3 times already. It's got such a fantastic, highly quotable script, and Hailee is probably my favorite young actress at the moment.daisylo wrote:The edge of Seventeen: this was great and Hailee Steinfeld was just perfect her character felt really real and it's like the movie start has a comedy and get darker and darker also Woody was hilarious he had great lines.
Damn that looks terrible and I love both actors..
yes really liked Edge of Seventeen, didn't like Hailee Steinfeld in Pitch Perfect 2 that the only thing I saw her in recently 'the movie wasn't good at ll so that didn't help) but she was really good here.

So far, the only character these trailers made me interested in is Chris Pine's, and that's a problem. I still feel like Gal was completely miscast as WW. I hope she proves me wrong, though.
Patty Jenkins did a great job with ''Monster''(2003) and Zack Snyder is one of the writers. :rockondaisylo wrote:Praying that this will be great.
Zack Snyder being one of the writers doesn't inspire any confidence, either.
And OMG, this thing is 140 minutes long.

Just saw an ad for this during James Corden, and I honestly at first thought it was just a random perscription pill commercial.
Nolan. :bow
The first movie was set in 2019 but it has nothing to do with our future...I'm wondering if there is a single movie in the entire history that was able to predict the real future we live today :Dnixy1991 wrote:
Saw Gifted last night, and it was pretty cute. With movies like this, it's very obvious when you're being manipulated and parts of it were definitely cheesy, but I liked it anyway. The performances were great (Mckenna Grace and Jenny Slate being stand outs), but I'm starting to feel like Chris Evans might be a one-note kind of actor. I don't dislike him and he's very charismatic, but it's becoming more difficult for me to see him as anyone other than Captain America.
The first Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite Marvel movie after Iron Man 3 (Which apparently everybody hates, but I thought Shane Black did an amazing job) but this one was just okay. I felt like the attempt to flesh out the characters somewhat backfired. Maybe I was in a certain type of mood, but actually liked some of the characters less in this movie, especially Drax. That said, I enjoyed it overall. It's fun and colorful, and the music was a lot of fun. I wouldn't urge anyone to see it on the big screen, though.

she looks a bit like Chloe Moretz :Ddaisylo wrote:that looks good
Love love love Sofia and the cast, can't wait for this one.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (also starring Nicole and Colin) has also been getting great reviews. :woot
Nicole is killing it this year. :bow

She really is a Queen and it helps that basically every directors want to work with her.
I tho it was a joke but no
OMG that's hilarious! :lmao He's an Oscar nominee, too. I didn't know it until now, but I actually saw the movie he was nominated for, Yi dai zong shi (The Grandmaster). I didn't like it much, but I remember thinking that the whole thing looked like a really expensive music video. Looots of stylized slo-mo shots. I usually really dislike when movies look like that, but it worked for this one, it was pretty much the only thing that kept me interested in it.
Judging by the trailers, The Beguiled strikes me as Sofia's best looking movie. And she really knows how to make good looking movies, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette and The Bling Ring all looked fantastic.
