Tonight I saw SHAME. Wow. This movie blew me away. I seriously can't find one bad thing about the movie. The pacing is impeccable, the acting is one of the best I've seen in years and the cinematography is beautiful. This movie isn't for everyone, though. Some people might have a hard time sitting through it. You'll be very uncomfortable during some scenes, too. But the emotional impact this movie has is truly incredible. I'm sure both Fassbender & Mulligan will be nominated for Oscars next year. Image

^ loved Shame too ! really strong film i couldn't stop thinking about it the next few days after seeing it ! and I agree for me Fassbender and Mulligan give the best performaces of the years, real fearless performances and I've seen tons of movies this year.

Carnage was really fun, I loved seeing Winslet in this roles she should do more comedies she was perfect, loved Foster and Waltz too and for an 80mins film who take place in just one place you never get bored.

I'm so glad you loved these two movies, especially Shame. It's such an amazing film, I really can't stop thinking about it. What Fassbender did was truly phenomenal. His and Mulligan's scene (the one in front of the TV) is one of the most powerful I've seen in years. No movie has made such an impact on me this year. I don't think I'd be able to sit through it again, but I'll definitely try. Image

Just saw CONTAGION. I found this movie extremely convincing and well directed. Soderbergh a genius. The whole cast was really good, especially Kate Winslet. She is a real scene stealer. Warning: This film will make you feel extremely paranoid about everything that has to do with disease, so whatever you do, don't see it if you have a flu or something. Image

I think because the director made it real, also its something we can relate to with H1N1. Sometimes you leave a movie and your like "great movie but that would never happen in real life" but with contagion your like "maybe it could happen, maybe be its happening right now"

I also saw Abduction with Taylor Lautner that was nice too

I just saw MI: Ghost Protocol too, and I loved it! I find movie plots hard to follow sometimes but I was always able to follow this one, lol. The students are insane...all the action on the Burj Khalifa building is INSANE. My heart was racing.

Last night I saw 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.... and it made me want to become a mystery solver so bad lmao. The movie was excellent in every way possible. The acting was superb. The plotline was interesting, dark, twisted, and suspenseful. It kept my interest from beginning to end. It was also filmed beautifully in some really nice locations. 10/10

'My Week With Marilyn' was a movie I just had to see because I idolize the woman so much. I was scared at first about casting Michelle Williams as Miss Monroe but she did an incredible job. Watch out for an Oscar nomination for this role. The reason why I liked the movie so much was because I felt as though it gave us a different perspective into the world of Marilyn Monroe. She was very innocent, child-like, beautiful, but severely damaged. You can tell you suffered a lot with her fame, and boy was the girl insecure. Even the most beautiful can feel the most unpretty. It really is such a tragedy that entertainers end up the way she did. RIP Marilyn! 10/10

'The Immortals' was an okay movie, not my kind of movie but my friends dragged me to see it. I have to say that I did enjoy the special effects. The story was interesting, but at times it went a little slow. It deals with Greek mythology which is cool, I just feel like there have been so many of these kind of movies done that I need a break already. 7/10

I don't know why but I went to go see 'Breaking Dawn' with some of my friends who are "Twihards", ughhh. Well having never seen the first two parts I was a little lost, but my friends were quick to explain everything to me as we watched the movie. I am sorry but I find this whole story a little bit cheesy and boring. Like did they really need to copy Harry Potter and split this part up. Honestly I can care less about Team Jacob or Team Edward because none of them did it for me in the movie. Maybe its just me, I'm just not a "Twihard" and you know what thats ok! 5/10...... P.S. I will give an Amen to the sex scene though, that was HAWT!

I recently watched the movie Warrior and it was truly incredible. I thought it would be just another sports movie but it's actually a very compelling story about a dysfunctional family, and it was quite moving even though it's got some plot holes. I highly recommend it

moneyball Image

so i watched "moneyball" yesterday...i have to say that the more "oscar worthy" films i watch the more depressed i get realizing that jen deserves more credits than she is given...this movie was NOTHING SPECIAL...brad was MEDIOCRE....the movie's storyline was boring expectable and it was just too predictable..no highs or lows emotionaly for the viewer....
so if brad or george clooney with flat and not incredible (meryl strip) performances can be nominated for globes and oscars year after year then what is is that jen is lacking???????????????? i dont see them being any better..so i ve come to the same conclussion ONCE MORE that it is the director's awesome works that lifts the actor and makes a movie good enough to make the actor look good.....

^ I loved Moneyball and that was one of Brad Pitt's best performance to me. Image but yeah most of the time you have to give a good performance in a good film, if you do crap after crap it won't matter how good you were, but they choose their script and the people they work with well, they're not stupid.

Mission Impossible 4 was amazing, so much fun that I went to see it twice, I rarely do that.

Take Shelter is in my Top10 of 2011 so good, haunting and amazing performances from Chastain (her again) and Michael Shannon.

Can't wait to see it! Image

YOUNG ADULT was incredible, Charlize Theron deserves an Oscar nom for her performance, she was truly amazing. There were a few moments in this movie where I wanted to jump at the screen and strangle Charlize's character. Great supporting cast too. Patton Oswalt (United States of Tara) in particular. This movie is a bit different than other Diablo Cody movies, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I saw MONEYBALL a while ago, I guess I forgot to write about it. I was impressed with Brad Pitt's performance. Jonah Hill did absolutely nothing for me, though. The movie extremely well manages to be both funny and emotional in all the right places, that's a great thing. The only thing that bothered me was how little the movie made me care about baseball. This movie could've been far better than it is.

^^ yeah I did love Brad in it he rarely takes that king of "normal" roles and I think he did a great job.

I agree about Jonah Hill now I don't get all the love he get for that role your explanation about good movie/performance apply really well to him in that case.

can't wait for "Young Adult" and I'm seeing "The girl with the dragon tattoo" next week, looks great.

I want to see so many movies! My Week with Marilyn, that Tom Hanks/Sandra Bullock movie, Young Adult, etc.

THE girl with a dragon tattoo 10/10

:bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow

gave me chills!goosies all the way!incredible movie!the atmosphere was captivating and so convincing..real "detective/thriller" stuff....Craig was exceptional! the girl was incredible!!loved it!

the idon lady!! 20/10

omg meryl should be put out of competition at the oscars..it is so unfair for other females to be competing with her...every role she plays can win an oscar..she is a phenomenon of acting/disguising...

:bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow
