Yeah, it's a show about what happens after the fairy tale is over, I guess. They add backstory and change things up from the regular stories. :D
I don't even know what to say about last night's episode. I'm so pissed about the last 5 minutes, lol.
OMG!! I love Maleficient and Lily. LOL Maleficient might turn out to be the best mother on this show!
IKR? They made Mal such a complex character on the show, it's a thrill to watch. :bowJlonewbie wrote:OMG!! I love Maleficient and Lily. LOL Maleficient might turn out to be the best mother on this show!
And I love that we got to see some of the old evil Regina back + Cora.
The finale looks intense. :popcorn

I liked Maleficent in this episode but generally I'm a bit dissapointed with her. She wasn't the badass villain she could be and looked like she would be. They went more with the Angelina Jolie type of Maleficent than the original movie that i would prefered. And her backstory didn't shed much light on what happened in her past and why she cursed Briar Rose and hate her and Stefan so much so she would curse Aurora too, unlike Ursula's and Cruella's stories.
Cruella by far stole the scene as one of the best villains in the show. She was just evil and psycho which is was nice to see a really bad villain again. the tiwst in the story and the Cruella Deville song where awesome! I felt kinda sad that she died because of how she died. She couldn't hurt anyone, she was just bluffing with Henry but she got killed.
I really liked the mothers theme in this episode. It was nice to see Cora again and her interaction with Regina. I loved the scene with Maleficent/Charmings/Snow/Emma. It shows the regret over what they did the details like Snow running to help Maleficent, David put his arm to protect her shows their true character. It was very emotional scene with Emma finally forgiving her parents and Snow sayingthat she knows they did wrong but she'll never stop trying to protect her.
By the way Rebecca Madder is giving an amazing performance as Zelena.
The next episode seems so fun and huge! And it's 2 hours! I seriously can't wait!

Zelena makes me so mad! Rebecca Mader is so good at it!
I thought Maleficent was too tame, too. She and the Evil Queen did such bad things, and she even possessed the original dark curse, so I would have liked some explanation as to why she turned a new leaf.
Cruella had a great backstory.

Cruella's backstory was amazing. One of my favorite episodes of OUAT so far. So many twists in that one, and appreciated that they actually portrayed her as a monster that she was. My heart stopped for a moment when they showed her making a coat out of those dogs. I thought they'd shy away from that, but nope. Super dark.
I like that Emma killed her to save Henry. Jennifer Morrison is doing amazing work this season, I love seeing Emma's struggle between good and evil. :popcorn
And Zelena infuriates me as well. I found her really annoying in S3B, mostly because of all the screaming she did, but this season she's very quiet and menacing, I really like that.

I like the story of her struggle between good and evil, but I don't think J. Mo delivers. :\ She's so flat a lot of the time. She has improved, but I don't care for her acting.
Once Upon a Time promotes Sean Maguire, Rebecca Mader to series regulars
The Wicked Witch and Robin Hood are sticking around!
Rebecca Mader and Sean Maguire have both been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming fifth season of Once Upon a Time, EW has learned.
Lost alum Mader first appeared as Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) half-sister Zelena, also known as the green-toned Wicked Witch of the West, in season 3. British actor Maguire also joined the series in season 3 to replace Tom Ellis, who briefly appeared as Robin Hood in the second season.
Though it appeared that Rumple (Robert Carlyle) had killed Zelena ahead of the season 3 finale, she traveled back in time and took on the appearance of Robin Hood’s late wife Marian (Christie Laing) in order to rob Regina of her happiness by stealing and getting knocked up by her sister’s true love. Impending baby be darned, Robin and Regina seem on track for a happy ending—though this Once Upon a Time we’re talking about here. Anything can happen!

OMG that psycho got promoted to a regular? I don't mind, though, I love to hate her.
I love and hate to hate her.
I detest the pregnancy storyline, however. That is ridiculous, IMO.

Once Upon a Time first look: The Dark Swan rises!
Once Upon a Time
Posted July 3 2015 — 11:44 AM EDT
There have been plenty of baddies to contend with over the past four years on Once Upon a Time, but in its fifth season there will be a new Dark One: Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison)—and EW has the exclusive first look at her transformation!
After sacrificing herself in last season’s finale to save Regina (Lana Parrilla) and her family, Emma is now trapped with the powers of an ancient evil. “Every part of her is fighting her dark urges,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “What happens when [the darkness] mixes with the lightest magic of all, and will Emma have the strength to fight it?”
The real question is how the powers of the Dark Swan — yes, that’s what they’re calling her! — will differ from Rumplestiltskin’s (Robert Carlyle). “How a Dark One manifests is specific to each person who takes on the mantle,” says EP Adam Horowitz. “Emma will have her own unique spin on what it means to be a Dark One.”
Becoming the Dark One “allows you to have the freedom to have no inhibitions,” Kitsis adds, which could play a role in exactly how Emma uses her powers. “We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we’ve said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn’t think you would.”
But there is hope. “The quest for Merlin is the quest to free Emma,” Kitsis says. Twist: That quest will require a new savior to come forward. Perhaps it’s time for Regina to step into the light?

Once Upon a Time finds its King Arthur
Once Upon a Time is filling out the Round Table.
British actor Liam Garrigan will portray King Arthur, EW has learned exclusively. Garrigan, whose credits include 24: Live Another Day, Strike Back and the Starz miniseries The Pillars of the Earth, will first appear in the season premiere and will recur.
Though King Arthur has yet to be mentioned on the series, viewers know that Lancelot (Sinqua Walls, who will return in season 5) was disgraced from the Round Table over a woman—ahem, likely the not-yet-cast Guinevere, whom Arthur is said to harbor eternal love for.
“As we do on Once Upon a Time, we’re doing our own twist on Camelot, on Arthur’s background and on his relationships with Merlin, Guinevere and Lancelot,” executive producer Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis say.
Camelot is slated to play a big role in the fifth season after the Apprentice revealed in the finale that the mysterious Sorcerer – who may be able to save Emma (Jennifer Morrison) after being consumed by the Dark One – is actually Merlin.

Once Upon a Time: Sinqua Walls returning as Lancelot in season 5
With the residents of Storybrooke on the hunt for Merlin, and Once Upon a Time also introducing other Camelot players King Arthur and Guinevere, it should come as no surprise that Lancelot will return in season 5.
EW has learned exclusively that Sinqua Walls (Teen Wolf, Power) will once again suit up to recur as the former knight of the Round Table, though it’s unclear whether he’ll appear only in flashbacks or also in present day.
“Oh man, you can’t go to Camelot and not see Lancelot,” executive producer Edward Kitsis told EW when conducting our special Comic-Con edition of Hot Seat, which will be out the week of the big event in San Diego.
Lancelot was first introduced during the second season via flashback, where we learned he was a disgraced knight because of some woman—likely Guinevere. In the present, Cora (Barbara Hershey) claimed to have killed Lancelot and taken on his appearance in a bid to escape the Enchanted Forest with Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison). But we never saw his body, so there’s a slight chance he could still be alive.
