But a Salsa song would work perfectly for Jen right now.Ok.. that is your personal opinion.rafaelsalguero wrote:Yeah, I personally listen the original Ballad Versión, I love the vocals and production
But the Salsa Version is which is making this numbers in the charts.
look at youtube or spotify numbers to see, which version is bigger :coffee
And on the radio just play the salsa version.

You have to understand that is 1000 times easier to chart on tropical charts.
And even if it's #1 on tropical charts, it doesnt mean it's bigger than a ballad version, which is like 100 times more popular.
Even that salsa version needed only about 400 spins to be #1 on tropical latin airplay.

True that's just how it is. It's 1000 times easier to chart on the tropical and maintain. It doesn't mean the song it's bigger or more popular than the ballad version it's just the amount of spins it's receiving for that specific chart that makes it go number one.Luka711 wrote:You have to understand that is 1000 times easier to chart on tropical charts.

And to be honest to have MegaStars like Marc and Jennifer after all they been though and their impact on the Latin community and culture to be number one for only 2 weeks with that type of song with those lyrics that appeal so much to their story its a flop.
The magnitude of this song should've been 10000 bigger . It had the potential and drive. It just was not worked at all.

Let's just be glad we actually have a salsa version. If it wasn't for that, Jen & Marc would had not recieved a #1 for this song on ANY chart, and radio airplay would had been dead and gone.
The salsa version saved whatever was left from this flop of a song. Look at it as a blessing.

Ballad version was #1 on latin digital tracks and had much bigger airplay.JLOz1FaNaTiC wrote:Let's just be glad we actually have a salsa version. If it wasn't for that, Jen & Marc would had not recieved a #1 for this song on ANY chart, and radio airplay would had been dead and gone.

Salsa version has been in the Top 10 of the Tropical chart for over 5 months. Where is the ballad version on any chart of Billboard?Luka711 wrote:Ballad version was #1 on latin digital tracks and had much bigger airplay.JLOz1FaNaTiC wrote:Let's just be glad we actually have a salsa version. The salsa version is giving this song life. Without it the song would be dead. Deal with it.

Salsa Version definitely extended the life of the song, however the peak position on charts other then Tropical Songs came before the Salsa version.

does anyone know if charing at Billboard's Tropical Songs Chart actually makes money for Jen/record company?Dan#jlofan wrote:OYPLV has officially dropped out of Billboard's Tropical Songs Chart after 20 weeks. This is what Billboard says about the chart - "The week's most popular current tropical songs, ranked by radio airplay audience impressions as measured by Nielsen Music." I mean surely its a good thing. For some smaller Latin Artists this chart is a huge deal, but I mean for Jen who has been at the top of the Hot 100 4 times it is not as big a deal.mEm wrote:does anyone know if charing at Billboard's Tropical Songs Chart actually makes money for Jen/record company?Dan#jlofan wrote:OYPLV has officially dropped out of Billboard's Tropical Songs Chart after 20 weeks.
