I haven't seen any photos, videos or blogs about the meet n greet experience for her Vegas shows? Did anybody here buy a back stage pass and met her? If so how was the experience? I bought one for June 11. I'm curious as to how this all works. It's strange that after 2 shows no photos have surfaced on the net!
This is a person I follow on Instagram. Pretty sure he is in this forum and it's the reason I started to follow him. But he did the meet and greet.Borisianofny wrote:I haven't seen any photos, videos or blogs about the meet n greet experience for her Vegas shows? Did anybody here buy a back stage pass and met her? I know that Flyboy87 went as well and hope he tells us
What would you like to know?
I went backstage opening night. Which is not really backstage. After the show finishes, all the meet and greet people wait in one section of the venue, it was towards the top right where everyone exits. There are several staff members and security. There is a list with everyone's name who has a meet and greet. Before the show those who are doing the meet and greet are given a wrist band. So after the show security just verifies that you have a wrist band and your name is on the list. From there we were taken to the front of the stage where we sat and waited. J.Lo at this point had changed outfits and was doing interviews with Mario Lopez and Hoda. Once she finished her interviews they brought us on stage. They had a backdrop setup for us and JLo waited in front of it while we each one by one came on stage.
Now be aware, a photographer takes your picture. You are NOT allowed to take pictures with your phone. You are NOT allowed to ask for autographs. And try not to carry a lot of stuff because you are required to hold on to your belongings even during your photo.
I was the last to go on stage. Her entire team is on the stage with her and security escorts you to where you need to go.
Once I reached her, she gave me a big hug and kiss. I told her how proud I was of her and how much I loved the show. She talked about my outfit and we both started laughing as did everyone else on stage. She wrapped her arm around me and we took the picture. Then she asked me how I was doing? I told her I've been doing well, thank you. We said bye and I was escorted off stage. Then you are given this card with an access code. You log on and put in your access code to retrieve your picture.
In the main lobby is where you pick up your poster and stuff.

Did she take enough time to speak to everyone who did the Meet and Greet? I want to buy it but I want to make sure they're going to give me a minute at least to say some stuff to herFlyBoy87 wrote:What would you like to know?

^ people said no hugs were allowed. She hugged you cause she you knew you, right?
I would say that you are given about a minute with her. So say whatever you have to say really quickly. Don't bother bringing her flowers or gifts.
I have known her for some years now, and met her many times before so she always greets me with a hug. But you never know, I would say feel her vibe. She's very sweet and down to Earth.

I have a silly question left, let's say you have your eyes closed uintentionally on the pic, would they notice and take another one? This would be my nightmare, to pay so much and then not have a proper pic with her honestly!
^ they always take 2-3 photos and use the best one for M&Gs.
I think Jen understands who's real die hard fan and who is not. When I met Jen she was like "hi baby" and she hugged me. It all happens so fast and i say dont worry about it and try to enjoy your 1 minute with the queen.MarinnaJLo wrote:^ people said no hugs were allowed. She hugged you cause she you knew you, right?
Jen wouldn't deny a hug. Just go for it and don't do it stupidly where it looks like you're gonna collapse on her.
Go for it is terrible advice! You don't just put your hands on a stranger, my goodness. You feel her out and ask if it's okay if she seems comfortable.
She's a very nice person, but people getting in her personal space when she doesn't want them to will nip that in the bud really quickly!

Right? Ask her if you can get a hug, don't just wrap your hands around her like she's your best friend. lol You don't want to get tackled to the ground by her security team, or even worse, pushed away by Jennifer herself. That would be horrible OMG :lol

^ Jennifer would never do that.
She's famous and she knows strangers can approach her; she should be used to it. C'mon, a hug won't hurt and it comes from people who support her, so there's no big deal if you just go for it.

Erm, no thanks. When (if) I ever get to meet Jennifer I won't just "go for it". I don't know what kind of mood she's in, even if it is during a fan meet and greet. Like Heather said, we're all strangers to her.
Exactly!nixy1991 wrote:Right? Ask her if you can get a hug, don't just wrap your hands around her like she's your best friend. lol You don't want to get tackled to the ground by her security team, or even worse, pushed away by Jennifer herself. That would be horrible OMG :lol
:jenhuh Oh my goodness, this is exactly why they warn fans not to hug her. :argh You NEVER put your hands on a stranger, fan or not. Being a fan doesn't mean you are entitled to put your hands on her like you know her.LewisJLOFan wrote:^ Jennifer would never do that.

She's not a stranger, she's Jennifer Lopez and the least she can do is hug her fans because she'd never be who she is without us. :coffee
So ask, like a human being, lol. I asked her for a hug when I met her and she said "awww, of course, baby" and hugged me tightly. But she is entitled to say no. Not all fans are normal, clean, mentally stable, some could be sick with a cold or whatever and with all her jobs she can't get sick. You are not entitled to that.
Um, you're not approaching a "stranger" on the street. You're meeting a celebrity for A LOT of money and I'm sure she expects some people will be emotional and will want a hug.
Oh give me a break. If you can't hug your fans who are paying top dollar to meet you, you don't need to do a meet and greet. But Jen hugged everybody at her album release party so I don't think she'll have a problem.JenRox wrote:So ask, like a human being, lol.
