Jennifer still has ALOT to do with her Fragrances! She comes up with all the combos and takes them to the perfumer. She tests the perfumes on herself until she thinks they are right. I seen her on the red carpet (not personal, on tv) and the lady with the microphone said, "you smell AMAZING! What are you warring?" and Jen said "It's my new Fragrance coming out soon!" That was around the time of "Glowing Forever" or "Glowing Goddess" As far as the David Letterman thing, it was obvious she was a bit nervous and they surprised her with that "test" and she did Super! So what, she over looked "STILL" Also ALL the GLOW BOTTLES LOOK PRETTY MUCH THE SAME! I always confuse "RIO GLOW" and "WILD GLOW" Also confuse "SUNKISSED GLOW" and "MIAMI GLOW" You should not make snap judgments on her for "messing up" on 2 out of 22 Fragrance names!!! She knew there was not one called "STANDING WATER"... ALSO SHE IS HELLA BUSSY!!!!Jloveandjlo wrote:Not only the Kohls thing, but she only does the new ones in 1.7 ozs now. Kohls has a pretty cheap image as far as I know
Besides that her perfume sales must have decreased lots since her Kohls deal while she was a huge seller before
PS. "GLOWING" also came out in a 2.5 oz bottle, not just 1.0 and 1.7 oz

How on EARTH would you know how involved she is with her fragrances? You are nowhere near her when she picks these fragrances, and you do not know what she comes up with. It is kind of evident by that video alone that she could really care less these days about them since GLOW is the "good one". Who says that about a product they are heavily involved with? "THAT'S the GOOD one! That's the one I always wear!" So, if Glow is the good one, there must be some bad ones in the bunch! They do not even put CHARMS on the Glow bottles anymore. Even the ones that used to have charms do not have them anymore. They just ship em on down to Ross and Marshalls naked!JLOsAngel wrote:Jennifer still has ALOT to do with her Fragrances! YOU can confuse them. You are not the creator of them and, as evidenced by the video, neither is she. He did not name 22 fragrances! He named like 9! She messed up on the 3rd!
So GLOWING came in a 2.5 oz bottle (which I bought and still have). Even worse. They went from making it in bigger bottles to downsizing it, like I said above.

how do you know that she is not involved? I take her at her word that she works the fragrance team until it the scent that she wants to put her name on.
by the way its easy to mess up or misspeak or get nervous in front of a live audience ........even a friendly one. I know because when i have to give a presentation I get nervous .....even after having done it 100s of time each time i get nervous and its part of my JOB........how much more on LIVE TV??? :coffee
You are dramatizing this, lol. She did fine. Here's the video for those who can't remember:
She couldn't see Still from where she was sitting and she corrected herself when she confused Miami & Rio Glow (and correctly said they are really similar).
It's silly to think she is picking price points or discussing marketing strategies and distribution channels. Come on, lol. Her job is to make sure it looks & smells good and is something she can be proud of putting her name on, The rest is up to the professionals.

Oh, Heather, you really should work in PR! You are one great spinner! There is no spinning this one, though.
"She couldn't see Still from where she was sitting and she corrected herself when she confused Miami & Rio Glow (and correctly said they are really similar). "
She did not correct it, though. She got it wrong. I can tell them all apart and all I do is own them! She is the creator of them! She could not have as much imput as we think. I believe she is now with all of the other celebs and just gets her name placed on them.
Exhibit A: I can overlook her not getting the flanker right. She does not even know where they are SOLD! She does not know they are at Kohls with her clothing line? Now, you guys say she is heavily involved right? Ok, let us overlook this one.
Exhibit B: Most of the glows now have gotten sweeter and sweeter. Glowing Goddess is like Viva La Juicy without the caramel. It's like sweet syrup, and Jennifer has stated that she does not like sweet fragrances. She called them "barbie" fragrances on HSN. Now, she is churning out these barbie fragrances. Harder to overlook this one, but people evolve, so I can maybe agree that her tastes might have changed. Something that CANNOT be overlooked.....
Exhibit C: She called Glow "the good one." You used to want your own business once upon a time 12 years ago, Heather, back when me and Timmy were about to get married at Jess' estate! If you had 22 fragrances, you and I both know you would not call one "the good one". If one is a "good" one, there has to be a "bad" one. I just cannot seem to wrap my head around this one. I could probably argue the other two. Not this one.
That is not involved! That is the BARE minimum! It bears your name on it, so don't you think you should at least know what it smells like before it is sold?kitkat wrote:Jloveandjlo wrote:How on EARTH would you know how involved she is with her fragrances? Oh, chill please. The last time i checked it was announced that JLo's fragrance line empire has become one of the most successful lines in the world (sales over 2 BILLION) so what she doesnt know the name of each one? She clearly did fine.
There are some artists out there who doesnt know their last singles/albums name lol.

Are you guys really criticizing her for not recognizing a perfume bottle that came out like 10 years ago?
I don't wonder if the sales numbers decrease - the fragrances get less promotion and it's really difficult to purchase them overseas. I also can't find JLO fragrances -not even GLOW- anymore on airports.
Anyway I'm excited about the new one, whenever I get it!!!

She called glow the good one because every time she is on the david letterman show he says she smells good and she is always wearing that one when he compliments her.

You don't come for the PerfumeLo stans.
I must have forgotten to respond, but all these months later, I still think it's petty, lol.
Just like every other industry, consumer's tastes change and maybe "Barbie" fragrances are what are considered "in" and selling well. The celebrity fragrance market has absolutely tanked in recent years and she has managed to stay in the game. With 20+ fragrances, you can appeal to all of your fans. I'm sure she isn't in love with every song she records, lol. It's the same concept. And when you've been in the business for so long, there's a lot of room to see what works and what doesn't. So maybe some of the perfumes didn't turn out exactly how she wanted for whatever reason. Besides, she is allowed to have a favorite. It's not that serious, lol.
