1. she has never been single
2. she has jumped from one relationship to another
3. she's on her 3rds failed marriage
4. she has always dated men below her
1 = so what?
2 = so what?
3 = so what?
4 = "below" her? We live in the 21st century. Not in 1850.

Some people like to be single. Other people like to be in a relationship. There's no need to be judgemental...
uhhhhh? why you think all her relationships have failed? cause she hasn't been comparable to anyone and social and financial status is part of a relationship, when 2 people don't balance each others then it will be a problem, a man on her status or above will not be an issue cause both will be handling their business instead of jlo handing her business and her broke ass boyfriend, so no it's not 1850, but reality. but loving careless is so amazing and exciting that i'm sure you will prefer her to be jumping from man to man till she's 80 and then end up with a cat and a dog and maybe her grandchildren :coffee

That thread was messy with people saying they thought it was a new JLo song, etc. 90% of it was irrelevant to Jennifer's birthday. If the topics were merged, the birthday wishes would have started on page 2 or later depending on how you view the board. If you want to continue to go back and forth on this, feel free to PM me.

How do you know that's the reason her relationships "failed"? %)

And the only relationship that really "failed", was the one with Ojani. She's still on good terms with Puffy, Cris, Ben, Marc and Beau.

If Jen wants to have fun with Maksim, then she should. There's nothing wrong with it.

Jennifer Lopez's birthday cake depicted the now-45-year-old singer draped over a lion and wearing a frock similar to her infamous 2000 Grammy Awards gown.

Jennifer Lopez rang in her 45th birthday Thursday in the chic private garden at Nammos Restaurant in Southampton, and the icing on the cake was a late-night appearance by rumored beau Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The birthday girl — surrounded by family and friends — smoldered in a sexy white two-piece outfit when she arrived at 10 p.m. to a DJ spinning her 2002 hit “Jenny From the Block.”

Chmerkovskiy made it to the big bash, albeit a little late, and missed Lopez’s actual birthday by 15 minutes. Following a grueling night of rehearsals, the handsome dancer dashed over to J.Lo’s fete, at which sources tell us he arrived at around 12:15 a.m. The celebration was still going strong with Lopez doing a lot of dancing of her own.

Chmerkovskiy, along with his brother Val, had been rehearsing all night for their Saturday performances of “Sway: A Dance Trilogy” at Westbury’s The Space theater. After cleaning up and getting changed, Maks made the one-hour drive to Southampton to wish Lopez a happy birthday in person. Though our insiders didn’t see any PDA, we’re assured that “they were in a celebratory mood.”

Lopez and Chmerkovskiy left separately, with Maks checking out around 3 a.m. and Lopez hanging out till almost 4 a.m.

Jennifer Lopez and purported boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy perform onstage during the 2013 American Music Awards. The pair 'were in a celebratory mood' Thursday at Lopez's birthday bash, sources tell Confidenti@l.

Also at the big birthday soiree were Lopez’s mother, Lupe, and sister Lynda, along with her BFF Leah Remini, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, celebrity stylist and fashion designer Rachel Zoe and hubby Rodger Berman, fashion designer Brian Atwood with his boyfriend Jake Deutsch, Kristin Chenoweth, Andy Cohen, Russell Williams, Tracy Anderson, Fat Joe, Scott Disick, and Khloe Kardashian and her beau French Montana.

Dinner guests were seated at long tables adorned with purple hydrangeas and yellow roses under beautiful lights. The menu consisted of family-style Greek Mediterranean food, including traditional Greek spreads, organic chicken and filet mignon.

The 4-foot-long birthday cake, made by SamiCakes Boutique, featured J.Lo lying on top of a lion.

I made J-Lo’s lion birthday cake – and I’m proud of it

When Samantha Brooks got the call to make Jennifer Lopez’s 45th birthday cake, she knew it would need steel pipes and floor flanges as well as the requested coconut mousse filling

Last week I got a text from Ron Gelish, an old friend of mine, and J-Lo’s personal chef. He wanted to know if I would be interested in making a cake. Sure, I said, what would you like? After a long pause, the reply came: “We should probably talk over the phone – It’s for J-Lo”. Ron knows what I’m capable of doing and I was really pleased he felt I was the right person to create Jennifer Lopez’s 45th-birthday cake.

Less than a minute later we were talking details. Next, Sindy Mashiah, J-Lo’s party planner contacted me – I was really excited about her vision because I have always wanted to create a cake in lion form. We went over various ideas – I sketched about six different positions of J-Lo with the lion. After a few hours we agreed that she should be lying on the lion, wearing a sleeveless onesie.

I moved straight on to making the cake since I had only two days to do it. A cake of this size needs different pieces of hardware for stability, including steel pipes, floor flanges, PVC pipes, as well as more traditional baking ingredients such as modelling chocolate, Rice Krispies, fondant and gum paste. And I had to bake the most important element – the requested lemon cake with coconut mousse filling.

J-Lo, her staff, and the guests at the party were all pleased with it. So was I – and I’m proud we were able to pull it off in just two days!

The photographs that have since been all over the internet and papers don’t represent it 100% accurately – it had been sitting out unrefrigerated for a few hours, and the candles and sparklers beside it caused it to melt a little. To hear the feedback – negative or positive – about the positioning of her body is irrelevant [internet scamps and gossip columnists have had much fun suggesting J-Lo is “humping” rather than lounging on the lion]. My client was happy with what I made and that’s all that matters to my staff and me. Maybe the design isn’t for everyone – we’re all entitled to our opinion – but at the end of the day, our cake is the most talked about to date, and I’m very proud of that.

Of course nobody would say to the chef or the party planner that the cake looked ridiculous. But guarantee you everyone there once they left were like "wtf was with that cake?"

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

Jennifer Lopez is still smoking as she enters middle age

The People Page does an occasional feature embracing "Throwback Thursday" and
"Flashback Friday", a fun social media trend in which users post pictures to celebrate the
passage of Father Time.

Here’s our #TBT offering for the day:

JENNIFER LOPEZ :

FAMOUS FOR: Dancing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color; making some good movies
( Out of Sight ) and some bad ones (The Back-up Plan); marrying and divorcing singer
Marc Anthony; voting as an American Idol judge.

WHAY SHE'S UP TO NOW: J.Lo celebrated her 45th birthday Thursday looking better than she did in her 20s. She posted a picture in a bikini taken by pal Leah Remini while hanging in the Hamptons, and those abs were so taut you could balance a protein shake on them. Middle age? Pshaw. We’ll have what she’s having.
