Or was he one of those fans who forgot to print their tickets? :lol
I was there, and I was pretty close to the stage. I actually almost left, I arrived in line a little after 2 pm and waited for Miss Lopez to come out at 8:30 pm. I was annoyed by 6 pm after standing up for so long I almost ended up leaving. And as soon as Jen hit the stage, it was so worth the wait.
I expected Jen to deliver a bootleg short teaser type mini-concert, like Gaga did when the Roseland ballroom closed. I was wrong, and it hit me as soon as I arrived in front of the stage that we were in for something big. Jennifer gave her all during each performance and she killed almost all her performances too. I didn't care for her ballads, Do You Know Where You're Going wasn't bad, but the song she dedicated to her mother was horrible, and proved me right again, Jennifer has no business singing ballads, it really is her weakest area musically. Then she sung Selena's No Me Queda Mas and it wasn't impressive as well, it seemed like she forgot the lyrics, and almost like she was afraid to sing it. Those were the only performances that didn't sit well with me. But she nailed all of her other performances.
This concert showed that Jennifer can do almost any genre in music. I have to say "Booty" was definitely the highlight of the night, and it was the first time I've seen Jennifer showing her ratchet side on stage, it was borderline hilarious but mostly entertaining.
When Jennifer performed "Let's Get Loud", it was clear that she must return to her Latin Soul flavor for her next music project. I'm not talking about a Spanish language album, I'm talking about pop music with a Latin/Pop blend in English, she needs to bring that back for her next album.
The Fat Joe performances were great, loved seeing Jennifer dancing to Lean Back, and the new song with Fat Joe was interesting, I'd have to hear the studio version to make a judgement on the song though.
The performance with Ja Rule was good too. I loved all the dance breaks, I wish she could re-record the video Jenny From The Block just so she could add the dance break she did in the live performance. Great show, I hope she goes on tour this year.
Btw, Jen needs to keep her team, the choreography, the remixed versions of her songs, the direction musically, everything is perfect. This is the team she was supposed to have had since her Rebirth era.
Oh and Girls MUST be a single, not the next one, but it has to be a 4th or 5th single, or at least just give us a music video, I don't think we've seen this sexual side to Jennifer on stage and in a music video. The live performance was great.
