Jennifer Lopez ‘Shades Of Blue’ Pilot To Be Directed By Barry Levinson For NBC

http://deadline.com/2014/10/jennifer-lo ... bc-846671/NBC has set Oscar winner Barry Levinson to direct Jennifer Lopez in Shades Of Blue, the pilot written by Adi Hasak, who scripted From Paris With Love. Levinson will be hands-on and participate in the development process. Lopez is starring and is exec producing with Ryan Seacrest through her Nuyorican Productions and his Ryan Seacrest Productions. The show, which got a 13-episode straight-to-series order, centers on Harlee McCord (Lopez), a single mother and detective who is recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force. Production is slated to begin shooting next summer in New York.
“It’s an exciting project to be working on with Jennifer,” said Levinson, whose latest film, the Al Pacino-starrer The Humbling, was bought by Millennium Entertainment after playing to rousing reaction at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. “Adi has written a police drama that gets into the fascinating dirt behind law enforcement with a female character we haven’t really seen before.”
Aside from Lopez and Seacrest, the exec producers are Nina Wass, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina. Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, Ryan Seacrest Productions and H’s Films serve as producers.

Big news for this show. They'r not filming til next summer so that leaves plenty of time for another movie
So excited for this!!! :D I hope she devotes some serious time to this project. Give the music a break for a bit and not do both at the same time.
