Worrying about other people is pointless. Jen and her team need to focus on her stuff only. Maybe steal a promotional idea or two from other campaigns, but that's it, lol.
Yeah I think she has to hire people to help her for marketing issues. The only problem with jlo's albums are promotion. They better do sth that doesn't need her go lots of places... How did Jazz at Lincoln Center students end up in a JLO video? Todd Stoll, our VP of Education, gives us the inside story:
“The opportunity arose due to a relationship between a staff member @ Dizzy’s and a representative of Jennifer Lopez’s. The request came in four days before the shoot to gather a group of young musicians to back JLO on a Bronx rooftop. We called up members of our Middle School Jazz Academy and our Youth Orchestra to participate.
JLO’s team sent us the track on the Thursday after New Year’s Day, and we figured out a quick riff the kids could play over it. Then the day of the event, they had changed the key by a step, so the kids all got a quick lesson in the “fluid nature” of the music business! Of course, they all figured it out.
One of the things that sticks out was JLO’s work ethic. It was a VERY cold day, like single digits. They had heaters for the kids and primarily left them inside most of the time. But she was out there working, take after take after take - a real pro. She was very considerate of the kids’ comfort level, talking to them, making sure they were ok with everything, very down to earth and cool. Which in jazz is how we teach our students: be cool, we’re all in this together, it’ll work out.”
The Middle School Jazz Academy and Youth Orchestra are audition-based programs that are enrichment for students already playing in their school bands. Go to http://academy.jalc.org/ for more information about the programs, including eligibility, curriculum, and auditions.

Same Girl is perfect! I don't care if it has 2 or 200M views...I'm so proud of her that she's doing what she feels like doing & not like these stupid celebrities who basically have sex in their video to get views and break records. Same Girl is a masterpiece no matter what iTunes position it reaches or how many youtube likes/views it gets.
