Yeah, I know the acoustic set on snl, but she has 13 years as a single and she did 2 songs on acoustic on TV, that really something, isn't?
Anyway, AI was the chance of her life, it wasn't a risk, she got inside to win and she did. What could've go wrong? She's one of the most charismatic person I ever know. That's not a risk, and why nuts? Where can I read a review like that? I didn't for sure, I think it was a great opportunity, I would've done the same goin in and out, just like she did, at the perfect timing she did.
The two risks JLo took in years was releasing Louboutins and doing the snl acoustic, one of few risks she took counting 13 years...

Of course AI was a risk. How are you forgetting that everyone thought the show would be dead without Simon, that ratings had fallen for x years in a row, etc.? It is easy to say it was an amazing decision knowing what we know now, but sooooo many people even BBers were against it. The board was split on that decision. All people had to compare was Paula Abdul who was never able to launch a legit comeback. Jen knocked it out of the park and now Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, etc are all doing it. Coincidence? I think not.
Leaving is risky, as well. Ratings may have dropped, but it was still the #1 non-sports show of the entire TV season.
Ther are plenty of other risks. Look at her movie career, which so manyxtake issue with. She made El Cantante, a passion project with her husband even after Gigli. So not only was it a risk to make an English film about someone non Latinos have never heard of, but she made it with Marc!
Look at Bordertown, another movie she struggled to get financed and out there. It is politically charged and she couldn't get it released in the US.
Every decision she makes has implications that could cost millions of dollars.
