Marc Anthony Files For Divorce From Jennifer Lopez



Marc Anthony has finally filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez ... TMZ has learned.

Marc cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce.

In the papers, filed April 9 in L.A. County Superior Court, Marc is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's twins, Emme and Max -- who are 4 years old.

Marc wants the judge to shut the door on Jennifer if she asks for spousal support.

Marc does not list a specific date of separation, but the couple announced their split back in July.

They married in 2004. This will be Jennifer's 3rd divorce and the numero dos for Marc.
He wants each party to foot the bill for their own attorney's fees.

it took 10 months....but it seems so long ago!

I was happy when jlo announced that she is devors but this topic really make me sad, i donno why

It kinda makes me sad cause its over.......it brings back all the memories of that day....omg I was a wreck....they always seemed in love...but idk.....just sad....but relief....

It is kinda sad but I think its funny he would think Jen would try to get spousal support. At least now they can both move on in peace.

Marc Anthony files for divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Marc Anthony has put the legal machinery in motion, officially filing for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

In the petition, filed Monday with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Anthony seeks dissolution for "irreconcilable differences," along with joint physical and legal custody of the couple's 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

As for the money? Well, that's to be determined, as Anthony "has not yet determined the full nature and extent of his separate assets and debts," according to divorce documents obtained by TMZ. Legal costs are to be paid by the separate parties, and he's suggesting she not seek spousal support.

The couple announced their split last July, making it two failed marriages for him and three for her.

Since then Lopez, 42, has moved on with dancer Casper Smart, who celebrated his 25th birthday recently by receiving a customized truck as a gift from his lady friend. Anthony, 43, and Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima went public with a relationship earlier this year.

Anthony and Lopez continue to work together on "Q'Viva," searching for new Latin American talent.

I knew they hadn't filed and I said that mulitple times on here. Because like I had stated the papers and all of that would have been all over the media and I was right about that.
I agree with some of u I don't think she would ask for child support and I wondered about how come she didn't file and I was curious about the filing after the video. Those were all random thoughts that came to mind. It also brought memories back from that day as well.

I'm Worried (It's not my Bussines) I know but if JLo is not married . ho ho I think Casper will be next JLo's Husband .

What difference does it make?

It took so long because of Khols and Que viva and any other bussiness that they have tied together

Marc is asking for joint physical custody (which he doesnt have with any of his other kids)

That because he does not want to pay Jen any child support

and I am sure he wants a big cut of any monies Jen has made while married to him she made more money then he did and of cuase Jlo and Marc most likey did not have a pre-
nup....

I honestly don't think it will get ugly...they are grown adults and I think they will handle it like grown adults....but also I don't think jen is going to go with the whole joint custody thing.....idk why.........

The only thing that kinda bothers me is that they only filed for divorce now. Other than that, I don't really care. They both clearly moved on after the announcement of their separation since they both had new lovers out and proud lol

The Dance again Video is kind of a humilliation for Marc, maybe she did it on purpose to make him angry and file for divorce!

I think it took this long to untangle their fiances cuase Marc is gonna want to keep his lifestyle, and he invested on that football team thats not making him any money

while Jlo invested in 2 reality shows one that is just beinging and one that got picked up for a second season

plus all her endrsements and 2 movies

they also purchased the LA home together (jlo sold hers) and they also purchased the next door house in LONG ISLAND NY

MIAMI WAS JUST OPTION TO BUY

BUT THAT SNARKY REMARK.....ABOUT HER NOT ASKING FOR SPOUSAL SUPPORT...MAKES ME THINK THAT HE IS NOT HAPPY ...AND MARC CAN BE SNEAKY AND STAB HER IN THE BACK!!
