Is it consistently 500+ to top it lately or is it possible the threshold will be lower by then?

I highly doubt it. She didn't even do that with OTF last year. We must be lucky that song was great enough to be that huge without help.

She should always do something for her songs no matter what. I love seeing her on stage, proving her singing/dancing skills.
If not, I hope the song will keep doing great without promo.

I hope this year she get to promote on some award show. She was scedhuled last year for Billboard awards but Beyonce took up the spot.

Jennifer Lopez is moving from the judges’ panel to the stage.

The American Idol judge will show the remaining contestants how to shake their derrière when she performs her controversial song “Dance Again” with boy toy boyfriend Casper Smart on the May 3 episode, Celebuzz has exclusively learned.

The music video for the single, a collaboration with rapper Pitbull, debuted to much fanfare on Idol on April 5.

Now, 42-year-old J.Lo and Casper, 25, will re-create the smoldering scenes from the sexy video with a live performance that one production source described as going to be “sensational” — in the same manner as her performance of “On the Floor” during last year’s Idol.

“J.Lo’s dancers began learning the choreography for the routine about a week ago and Jennifer joined them for a rehearsal last Saturday (April 21),” a production source told Celebuzz.

“There’s another week-and-a-half of intense rehearsals before the performance.”

There’s no word yet on whether Lopez will pre-tape the “Dance Again” performance and air it as-live, as she did for “On The Floor.”

One thing is for certain, however: it will be raunchy.

Ohhh, you are probably right. There was confusion last year, too, I think.

Not saying it is a mistake but I have seen these press releases with artists performing on Idol being wrong before because they record a performance a week before it goes out. It could be Jen will perform next week and it will be recorded for the following week.

Think this is a bad idea if she does a whole routine featuring casper. It takes away from the song and the performance if she's doing some sexy dance with her real life boyfriend on primetime tv. Thats what will get all the attention, how she always involves her men in her projects. Dont think she realizes this

^ Can't we wait for the performance before we start the negativity. It's always something. We don't even know what she is gonna do yet. Plus u know he's gonna be in it because he is in the video and he's dating her and that's what she does. I doubt the song is gonna just be the two of them because we know other dancers are rehearsing. There might be parts of them together but that's expected. She never really has cared what pple thought and she has always done what she has wanted to do and she is probably gonna keep doing that.
I can't wait regardless of what she does or even the date as long as it's good!

Her Idol performance will get way more attention with Casper Beau performing alongside her. She's not an idiot. That's going to set tongues wagging and get a ton of press. People will watch the video to see the hype and while judging her (she doesn't give a crap, anyway, clearly) they'll also hear the song and decide they like it.
